* [MIPS] Avoid indexed cacheops.Ralf Baechle2007-10-121-46/+28
| | | | | | | | On MP configurations it's highly dubious what this code will actually affect since blasting away cachelines may or may not do the right thing wrt. cache coherency. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
* [MIPS] Don't abort the build process if '-msym32' isn't supportedFranck Bui-Huu2007-10-121-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | -msym32 and previously the strategy to tell the compiler to generate 64-bit code but the assembler to put it into 32-bit ELF was initially a hack to get around the lack of proper 64-bit binutils support and later turned into a neat optimization with significant code size savings. But it's really just an optimization so there is nothing wrong with just dropping the option (and whatever else goes along with it, I forgot all the nasty details) on the floor if due to a vintage compiler it can't be suported. * [MIPS] Dyntick support for SMTC:Ralf Baechle2007-10-124-49/+134
| | | | | | | | | The kernel currently only supports broadcasting of the timer interrupt from a single timer, not multicasting into two multicast groups of processors. So the implemented mechanism for SMTC works by broadcasting the cp0 compare interrupt on VPE 0 and ignoring it on any additional VPEs. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
* [MIPS] Implement clockevents for R4000-style cp0 count/compare interruptRalf Baechle2007-10-1220-200/+210

* [MIPS] Switch from to_tm to rtc_time_to_tmRalf Baechle2007-10-127-63/+14
| | | | | | | | | This replaces the MIPS-specific to_tm function with the generic rtc_time_to_tm function. The big difference between the two functions is that rtc_time_to_tm uses epoch 70 while to_tm uses 1970, so the result of rtc_time_to_tm needs to be fixed up. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
* [MIPS] Deforest the function pointer jungle in the time code.Ralf Baechle2007-10-1244-209/+114
| | | | | | | Hard to follow who is pointing what to where and why so it's simply getting in the way of the time code renovation. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>

* [MIPS] Split up war.hRalf Baechle2007-10-1224-97/+625
| | | | | | | | | | It was getting a little big, ugly and a primary source for merge conflicts. Also the old method was a bit too forgiving in that the workaround did default to off, so now there is an explicit #error forcing platform maintainers to think if they should enable a workaround for a particular platform. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
* [MIPS] GPIO LED driver for the WGT634U machineAurelien Jarno2007-10-122-1/+65

* [MIPS] Sibyte: Replace SB1 cachecode with standard R4000 class cache code.Ralf Baechle2007-10-1211-577/+54
| | | | | | | | | | | It may not be perfect yet but the SB1 code is badly borken and has horrible performance issues. Downside: This seriously breaks support for pass 1 parts of the BCM1250 where indexed cacheops don't work quite reliable but I seem to be the last one on the planet with a pass 1 part anyway. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
