To make the code a bit more readable, let's move the OSI specific
initialization out of the psci_dt_cpu_init_idle() and into a separate
function.

Commit 2c361684803e ("PM / Domains: Don't treat zero found compatible idle
states as an error"), moved of_genpd_parse_idle_states() towards allowing
none compatible idle state to be found for the device node, rather than
returning an error code.
However, it didn't consider that the "domain-idle-states" DT property may
be missing as it's optional, which makes of_count_phandle_with_args() to
return -ENOENT. Let's fix this to make the behaviour consistent.

The check for any active GPEs added by commit fdde0ff8590b ("ACPI:
PM: s2idle: Prevent spurious SCIs from waking up the system") turns
out to be insufficiently precise to prevent some systems from
resuming prematurely due to a spurious EC wakeup, so refine it
by first checking if any GPEs other than the EC GPE are active
and skipping all of the SCIs coming from the EC that do not produce
any genuine wakeup events after processing.

The check carried out by acpi_any_gpe_status_set() is not precise enough
for the suspend-to-idle implementation in Linux and in some cases it is
necessary make it skip one GPE (specifically, the EC GPE) from the check
to prevent a race condition leading to a premature system resume from
occurring.
For this reason, redefine acpi_any_gpe_status_set() to take the number
of a GPE to skip as an argument.

Since the SNAPSHOT_GET_IMAGE_SIZE, SNAPSHOT_AVAIL_SWAP_SIZE, and
SNAPSHOT_ALLOC_SWAP_PAGE ioctls produce an loff_t result, and loff_t is
always 64-bit even in the compat case, there's no reason to have the
special compat handling for these ioctls. Just remove this unneeded
code so that these ioctls call into snapshot_ioctl() directly, doing
just the compat_ptr() conversion on the argument.
(This unnecessary code was also causing a KMSAN false positive.)

pm_runtime_get_if_in_use() bumps up the PM-runtime usage count if it
is not equal to zero and the device's PM-runtime status is 'active'.
This works for drivers that do not use autoidle, but for those that
do, the function returns zero even when the device is active.
In order to maintain sane device state while the device is powered on
in the hope that it'll be needed, pm_runtime_get_if_active(dev, true)
returns a positive value if the device's PM-runtime status is 'active'
when it is called, in which case it also increments the device's usage
count.
If the second argument of pm_runtime_get_if_active() is 'false', the
function behaves just like pm_runtime_get_if_in_use(), so redefine
the latter as a wrapper around the former.

The initial policy value set by intel_pstate_cpu_init() depends on
whether or not CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_PERFORMANCE is set, but
that is not necessary, because the core will set the policy to
"performance" in cpufreq_init_policy() if the default governor is
"performance" anyway.
Accordingly, change intel_pstate_cpu_init() to always set policy
to CPUFREQ_POLICY_POWERSAVE initially to provide a valid fallback
value to cpufreq_init_policy() in case the default cpufreq governor
is neither "powersave" nor "performance".

In Certain QCOM SoCs like ipq8064, apq8064, msm8960, msm8974
that has KRAIT processors the voltage/current value of each OPP
varies based on the silicon variant in use.
The required OPP related data is determined based on
the efuse value. This is similar to the existing code for
kryo cores. So adding support for krait cores here.

imx6ul_opp_check_speed_grading is called for both i.MX6UL and i.MX6ULL.
Since the i.MX6ULL was introduced to a separate ocotp compatible node
later, it is possible that the i.MX6ULL has also dtbs with
"fsl,imx6ull-ocotp". On a system without nvmem-cell speed grade a
missing check on this node causes a driver fail without considering
the cpu speed grade.
This patch prevents unwanted cpu overclocking on i.MX6ULL with compatible
node "fsl,imx6ull-ocotp" in old dtbs without nvmem-cell speed grade.

Before commit 1328edca4a14 ("cpuidle-haltpoll: Enable kvm guest polling
when dedicated physical CPUs are available") the cpuidle-haltpoll driver
could also be used in scenarios when the host does not advertise the
KVM_HINTS_REALTIME hint.
While the behavior introduced by the aforementioned commit makes sense as
the default there are cases where the old behavior is desired, for example,
when other kernel changes triggered by presence by this hint are unwanted,
for some workloads where the latency benefit from polling overweights the
loss from idle CPU capacity that otherwise would be available, or just when
running under older Qemu versions that lack this hint.
Let's provide a typical "force" module parameter that allows restoring the
old behavior.

Annotate static variables cpuidle_state_table and mwait_substates
with __initdata, because they are only used during the initialization
of the driver.
Also notice that static variable icpu could be annotated analogously
and the structure pointed to by it could be __initconst, but two of
its fields are accessed via icpu in intel_idle_cpu_init() and
auto_demotion_disable(), so introduce two new static variables,
auto_demotion_disable_flags and disable_promotion_to_c1e, to hold
the values of these fields, set them during the initialization and
use them in those functions instead of accessing the source data
structure via icpu.
That allows icpu to be annotated with __initdata, so do that,
and it will also allow some __initconst annotations to be added
subsequently.

The lapic_timer_always_reliable variable really takes only two values
and some arithmetic in intel_idle() related to comparing it with the
target C-state's MWAIT hint value is unnecessary.
Simplify the code by replacing lapic_timer_always_reliable with
a bool variable lapic_timer_always_reliable and dropping the
LAPIC_TIMER_ALWAYS_RELIABLE symbol along with the excess
computations in intel_idle().
While at it, add a comment explaining the branch taken in intel_idle()
if the LAPIC timer is only reliable in C1 and modify the related debug
message in intel_idle_init() accordingly (the modification of this
message in the only expected functional impact of the change made
here).

The target_value field in struct pm_qos_constraints is used for
lockless access to the effective constraint value of a given QoS
list, so the readers of it cannot expect it to always reflect the
most recent effective constraint value. However, they can and do
expect it to be equal to a valid effective constraint value computed
at a certain time in the past (event though it may not be the most
recent one), so add READ|WRITE_ONCE() annotations around the
target_value accesses to prevent the compiler from possibly causing
that expectation to be unmet by generating code in an exceptionally
convoluted way.
