The IB_CM_SIDR_REQ_RECEIVED message is not handled properly in cma_save_net_info() and we end up falling into code that will try and process the request as ipv4/ipv6, which will end up failing. The resolution is to add a check for the SIDR_REQ and call cma_save_ib_info() with a NULL path record. Change cma_save_ib_info() to copy the src sib info from the listen_id when the path record is NULL. The Linux host is the active side and starts the connection establishment, but later decides to not go through with the connection setup and does rdma_destroy_id(). The rdma_destroy_id() eventually works its way down to cm_destroy_id() in core/cm.c, where a REJ is sent. The non-Linux system has some trouble recognizing the REJ because of: A. CM states which can't receive the REJ B. Some issues about REJ formatting (missing comm ID) ISSUE A: That part of the spec says, a Consumer Reject REJ can be sent for a connection abort, but it goes further and says: can send a REJ message with a "Consumer Reject" Reason code if they are in a CM state (i.e. REP Rcvd, MRA(REP) Sent, REQ Rcvd, MRA Sent) that allows a REJ to be sent (lines 35-38). Of the states listed there in that sentence, it would seem to limit the active side to using the Consumer Reject (for the abort case) in just the REP-Rcvd and MRA-REP-Sent states. That is basically only after the active side sees a REP (or alternatively goes down the state transitions to timeout in which case a Timeout REJ is sent). As a fix, in cm-destroy-id() move the IB-CM-MRA-REQ-RCVD case to the same as REQ-SENT. Essentially, make a REJ sent after getting an MRA on active side a timeout rather than Consumer- Reject, which is arguably more correct with the CM state diagrams previous to getting a REP. In hid-sensor-hub as part of hsdev creation, a per hsdev mutex is initialized during MFD cell creation. This hsdev, which contains, mutex is part of platform data for the a cell. But platform_data is copied in platform_device_add_data() in platform.c. This copy will copy the whole hsdev structure including mutex. But once copied the magic will no longer match. So when client driver call sensor_hub_input_attr_get_raw_value, this will trigger mutex warning. So to avoid this allocate mutex dynamically. This will be same even after copy. The Logitech TK820 seems to be affected by a firmware bug which delays the sending of the keys (pressed, or released, which triggers a key-repeat) while holding fingers on the touch sensor. This behavior can be observed while using the mouse emulation mode if the user moves the finger while typing (highly improbable though). Holding the finger still while in the mouse emulation mode does not trigger the key repeat problem. So better keep things in their previous state to not have to explain users that the new key-repeat bug they see is a "feature". Furthermore, I noticed that I disabled the media keys whith this patch. Sorry, my bad. I think it is best to revert the patch, in all the current versions it has been shipped. If the kernel is compiled without GPIO support the driver should not fail if it finds the interrupt using normal methods. However, commit a485923efbb8 ("HID: i2c-hid: Add support for ACPI GPIO interrupts") did not take into account that acpi_dev_add_driver_gpios() returns -ENXIO when !CONFIG_GPIOLIB. Fix this by checking the return value against -ENXIO and 0 and only in that case fail the probe. But the clock needs to be ungated prior suspend to allow the system to be suspend and resumed correctly. Add GATE_BUS_TOP register to the list of registers to be restored when the system enters into a suspend state so aclk266_g2d will be ungated. The crash happened because a NULL inode pointer got passed into locks_get_lock_context. The call chain indicates that file_inode(filp) returned NULL, which means that f_inode was NULL. Since that's zeroed out in __fput, that suggests that this filp pointer outlived the last reference. Looking at the code, that seems possible. We copy the struct file_lock that's passed in, but if the task is signalled at an inopportune time we can end up trying to use that file_lock in rpciod context after the process that requested it has already returned (and possibly put its filp reference). Fix this by taking an extra reference to the filp when we allocate the lock info, and put it in nfs4_lock_release. On success, nfs_commit_inode() can return a positive result; see other call sites such as nfs_file_fsync_commit() and nfs_commit_unstable_pages(). The call site recently added in nfs_wb_all() does not prevent that positive return value from leaking to its callers. If it leaks through nfs_sync_inode() back to nfs_getattr(), that causes stat(2) to return a positive return value to user space while also not filling in the passed-in struct stat. However, that patch changed the behaviour so that mce_nest count was incremented *before* setting index. This causes an off-by-one error, as get_mce_event sets index as mce_nest_count - 1 before reading mce_event. Thus get_mce_event reads bogus data, causing warnings like "Machine Check Exception, Unknown event version 0 !" and breaking MCEs handling. Restore the old behaviour and unbreak MCE handling by subtracting one from the newly incremented value. The same broken change occured in machine_check_queue_event (which set a queue read by machine_check_process_queued_event). Fix that too, unbreaking printing of MCE information. For huge pages it casts pmd_t to pte_t. Since the format of pte_t is different from pmd_t we want to prevent transit from pmd pointing to page table to pmd pointing to huge page (and back) while interrupts are disabled. We clear pmd to possibly replace it with page table pointer in different code paths. So make sure we wait for the parallel find_linux_pte_or_hugepage() to finish. Without this patch, a find_linux_pte_or_hugepte() running in parallel to __split_huge_zero_page_pmd() or do_huge_pmd_wp_page_fallback() or zap_huge_pmd() can run into the above issue. With __split_huge_zero_page_pmd() and do_huge_pmd_wp_page_fallback() we clear the hugepage pte before inserting the pmd entry with a regular pgtable address. Such a clear need to wait for the parallel find_linux_pte_or_hugepte() to finish. With zap_huge_pmd(), we can run into issues, with a hugepage pte getting zapped due to a MADV_DONTNEED while other cpu fault it in as small pages. Reported-by: Kirill A. So the merge appeared fine, but the resulting code did not behave as expected. Commit 195daf665a62 ("watchdog: enable the new user interface of the watchdog mechanism") changes the semantics of watchdog_user_enabled, which thereafter is only used by the functions introduced by b3738d293233 ("watchdog: Add watchdog enable/disable all functions"). There further appears to be a distinct lack of serialization between setting and using watchdog_enabled, so perhaps we should wrap the {en,dis}able_all() things in watchdog_proc_mutex. This patch fixes a s2r failure reported by Michal; which I cannot readily explain. But this does make the code internally consistent again.
