* doc-rst: Remove the media docbookMauro Carvalho Chehab2016-07-291-130/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Now that all media documentation was converted to Sphinx, we should get rid of the old DocBook one, as we don't want people to submit patches against the old stuff. * [media] DocBook: Fix false positive undefined ioctl referencesMauro Carvalho Chehab2015-05-301-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The new code that detects undocumented ioctls hits some false positives: This one is not documented, nor it should, as this is there just to reserve namespace: Warning: can't find reference for VIDIOC_RESERVED ioctl But those are already documented together with other ioctls: Warning: can't find reference for VIDIOC_UNSUBSCRIBE_EVENT ioctl Warning: can't find reference for FE_GET_PROPERTY ioctl Warning: can't find reference for VIDIOC_SUBDEV_G_EDID ioctl Warning: can't find reference for VIDIOC_SUBDEV_S_EDID ioctl Warning: can't find reference for VIDIOC_SUBDEV_S_DV_TIMINGS ioctl Warning: can't find reference for VIDIOC_SUBDEV_G_DV_TIMINGS ioctl Warning: can't find reference for VIDIOC_SUBDEV_QUERY_DV_TIMINGS ioctl So, we need to just be sure to point to the right documentation. * [media] DocBook media: improve event documentationHans Verkuil2015-04-031-108/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | It always annoyed me that the event type documentation was separate from the struct v4l2_event documentation. This patch moves it all to one place, VIDIOC_DQEVENT. This makes much more sense. Also changed the 'changes-flags' ref to 'ctrl-changes-flags' since this referred to control changes. There is a src-changes-flags as well, so 'changes-flags' was a bit vague. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>

* [media] DocBook media: fix typoHans Verkuil2014-05-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The reference to v4l2-event-source-change should have been v4l2-event-src-change. This caused a failure when building the spec. Fixed. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <m.chehab@samsung.com>
* [media] v4l: Add source change eventArun Kumar K2014-05-241-0/+20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This event indicates that the video device has encountered a source parameter change during runtime. This can typically be a resolution change detected by a video decoder OR a format change detected by an input connector. This needs to be nofified to the userspace and the application may be expected to reallocate buffers before proceeding. The application can subscribe to events on a specific pad or input port which it is interested in. * [media] DocBook: Use the generic ioctl error codes for all V4L ioctl'sMauro Carvalho Chehab2011-07-271-8/+3
| | | | | | | | Be sure that all VIDIOC_* ioctl are using the return error macro, and aren't specifying generic error codes internally. Acked-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
* [media] v4l2-ctrls.c: add support for V4L2_EVENT_SUB_FL_ALLOW_FEEDBACKHans Verkuil2011-07-271-7/+29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Normally no control events will go to the filehandle that called the VIDIOC_S_CTRL/VIDIOC_S_EXT_CTRLS ioctls. This is to prevent a feedback loop. This can now be overridden by setting the new V4L2_EVENT_SUB_FL_ALLOW_FEEDBACK flag. Based on suggestions from Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com> and Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart@ideasonboard.com>. * [media] DocBook: Move all media docbook stuff into its own directoryMauro Carvalho Chehab2011-07-271-0/+133
This patch addresses several issues pointed by Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@xenotime.net> at changeset ece722c: - In the generated index.html file, "media" is listed first, but it should be listed in alphabetical order, not first. - The generated files are (hidden) in .tmpmedia/ - The link from the top-level index.html file to "media" is to media/index.html, but the file is actually in .tmpmedia/media/index.html - Please build docs with and without using "O=builddir" and test that. - Would it be possible for media to have its own Makefile instead of merging into this one? Due to the way cleandocs target works, I had to rename the media DocBook to media_api, otherwise cleandocs would remove the /media directory.
