* docs-rst: add documents to development-processMauro Carvalho Chehab2016-10-241-183/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Add several documents to the development-process ReST book. As we don't want renames, use symlinks instead, keeping those documents on their original place. Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
* docs-rst: add inter-document cross referencesMauro Carvalho Chehab2016-09-211-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add cross references for the development process documents that were converted to ReST: Documentation/SubmitChecklist Documentation/SubmittingDrivers Documentation/SubmittingPatches Documentation/development-process/development-process.rst Documentation/stable_kernel_rules.txt Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com> Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Jonathan Corbet <corbet@lwn.net>
* Documentation/HOWTO: add cross-references to other documentsMauro Carvalho Chehab2016-09-211-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add cross references for the documents mentioned at HOWTO and are under the Documentation/ directory, using the ReST notation. It should be noticed that HOWTO also mentions the /README file. We opted to not touch it, for now, as making it build on Sphinx would require it to be moved to a Documentation/foo directory. | | | | | | | | | - Change the document title markup to make it on a higher level; - Add blank lines as needed, to improve the output; - use italics for the country-code at kernel.org ftp URL. * Documentation: update broken web addresses.Justin P. Mattock2010-08-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Below you will find an updated version from the original series bunching all patches into one big patch updating broken web addresses that are located in Documentation/* Some of the addresses date as far far back as 1995 etc... so searching became a bit difficult, the best way to deal with these is to use web.archive.org to locate these addresses that are outdated. Now there are also some addresses pointing to .spec files some are located, but some(after searching on the companies site)where still no where to be found. In this case I just changed the address to the company site this way the users can contact the company and they can locate them for the users. Signed-off-by: Justin P. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
