| | | | | | | | | | | The Arm documentation has moved to Documentation/arch/arm; update one devicetree reference to match. * dt-bindings: xen: Clarify "reg" purposeOleksandr Tyshchenko2022-01-061-6/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Xen on Arm has gained new support recently to calculate and report extended regions (unused address space) safe to use for external mappings. These regions are reported via "reg" property under "hypervisor" node in the guest device-tree. As region 0 is reserved for grant table space (always present), the indexes for extended regions are 1...N. No device-tree bindings update is needed (except clarifying the text) as guest infers the presence of extended regions from the number of regions in "reg" property. While at it, remove the following sentence: "This property is unnecessary when booting Dom0 using ACPI." for "reg" and "interrupts" properties as the initialization is not done via device-tree "hypervisor" node in that case anyway. * docs: arm: convert docs to ReST and rename to *.rstMauro Carvalho Chehab2019-07-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Converts ARM the text files to ReST, preparing them to be an architecture book. The conversion is actually: - add blank lines and identation in order to identify paragraphs; - fix tables markups; - add some lists markups; - mark literal blocks; - adjust title markups. At its new index.rst, let's add a :orphan: while this is not linked to the main index.rst file, in order to avoid build warnings. * ARM: Xen: Document UEFI support on Xen ARM virtual platformsShannon Zhao2016-07-061-0/+35
| | | | | | | | | | | Add a "uefi" node under /hypervisor node in FDT, then Linux kernel could scan this to get the UEFI information. * docs: Xen ARM DT bindingsStefano Stabellini2012-09-181-0/+25
Add a doc to describe the Xen ARM device tree bindings Changes in v5: - add a comment about the size of the grant table memory region; - add a comment about the required presence of a GIC node; - specify that the described properties are part of a top-level "hypervisor" node; - specify #address-cells and #size-cells for the example. Changes in v4: - "xen, xen" should be last as it is less specific; - update reg property using 2 address-cells and 2 size-cells.
