* dt-bindings: regulator/clock/mfd: Reorganize S2MPS-family bindingsKrzysztof Kozlowski2016-01-142-153/+84
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bindings for Samsung S2M and S5M family PMICs are in mess. They are spread over different files and subdirectories in a non-consistent way. The devices and respective drivers for them share a lot in common so everything could be organized in a more readable way. Reorganize the S2MPS11/13/14/15 Device Tree bindings to match the drivers for this family of devices: - move mfd/s2mps11.txt to mfd/samsung,sec-core.txt for the main MFD driver (common for entire family), - split clock block to clock/samsung,s2mps11.txt, - split regulator block to regulator/samsung,s2mps11.txt. * mfd: syscon: Add a DT property to set value widthDamien Riegel2016-01-111-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently syscon has a fixed configuration of 32 bits for register and values widths. In some cases, it would be desirable to be able to customize the value width. For example, certain boards (like the ones manufactured by Technologic Systems) have a FPGA that is memory-mapped, but its registers are only 16-bit wide. This patch adds an optional "reg-io-width" DT binding for syscon that allows to change the width for the data bus (i.e. val_bits). If this property is provided, it will also set the register stride to reg-io-width's value. If not provided, the default configuration is used. * / regulator: axp20x: Drop AXP221 DC1SW and DC5LDO regulator supplies from bindingsChen-Yu Tsai2015-10-051-2/+2
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The DC1SW and DC5LDO regulators in the AXP221 are internally chained to DCDC1 and DCDC5, hence the names. The original bindings used the parent regulator names for the supply regulator property. This causes some confusion when we actually use it in the dts: axp221 { /* self supplying? */ dcdc1-supply = <&dcdc1>; dcdc5-supply = <&dcdc5>; dcdc1: dcdc1 { ... }; dcdc5: dcdc5 { ... }; }; Since they are internally connected within the PMIC, their relationships should not be visible in the device tree. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Wakeup property of device is not Linux-specific, it describes intended system behavior regardless of the OS being used. Therefore let's drop "linux," prefix, and, while at it, use the same name as I2C bus does: "wakeup-source". We keep parsing old name to keep compatibility with old DTSes. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Maxim MAX77686 PMIC is a multi-function device with regulators, clocks and a RTC. The DT bindings for the clocks are in a separate file but the bindings for the regulators are inside the mfd part. To make it consistent with the clocks portion of the binding and because is more natural to look for regulator bindings under the bindings/regulator sub-directory, split the regulator portion of the DT binding and add it as a separate file.
