* pnp.txt: standardize document formatMauro Carvalho Chehab2017-07-141-151/+192
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Each text file under Documentation follows a different format. Some doesn't even have titles! Change its representation to follow the adopted standard, using ReST markups for it to be parseable by Sphinx: - Use a markup for document title; - use :Author: and :Last updated: for authorship; - adjust whitespaces where needed; - mark literal blocks; - fix a few subtitle markups. * Fix typos in /Documentation : 'U-Z'Matt LaPlante2006-11-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch fixes typos in various Documentation txts. The patch addresses some +words starting with the letters 'U-Z'. Looks like I made it through the alphabet...just in time to start over again +too! Maybe I can fit more profound fixes into the next round...? Time will +tell. :) Signed-off-by: Matt LaPlante <kernel1@cyberdogtech.com> Acked-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@xenotime.net> Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de>
* Fix "can not" in Documentation and KconfigMatt LaPlante2006-10-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Randy brought it to my attention that in proper english "can not" should always be written "cannot". I donot see any reason to argue, even if I mightnot understand why this rule exists. This patch fixes "can not" in several Documentation files as well as three Kconfigs. * [PATCH] pnp: PNP: adjust pnp_register_driver signatureBjorn Helgaas2006-03-271-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove the assumption that pnp_register_driver() returns the number of devices claimed. Returning the count is unreliable because devices may be hot-plugged in the future. This changes the convention to "zero for success, or a negative error value," which matches pci_register_driver(), acpi_bus_register_driver(), and platform_driver_register(). Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
