* docs: usb: rename files to .rst and add them to drivers-apiMauro Carvalho Chehab2019-06-201-132/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While there are a mix of things here, most of the stuff were written from Kernel developer's PoV. So, add them to the driver-api book. A follow up for this patch would be to move documents from there that are specific to sysadmins, adding them to the admin-guide. * docs: usb: convert documents to ReSTMauro Carvalho Chehab2019-04-161-34/+41
| | | | | | | | | Convert USB documents to ReST, in order to prepare for adding it to the kernel API book, as most of the stuff there are driver or subsystem-related. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* usb: core: add option of only authorizing internal devicesDmitry Torokhov2019-02-221-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On Chrome OS we want to use USBguard to potentially limit access to USB devices based on policy. We however to do not want to wait for userspace to come up before initializing fixed USB devices to not regress our boot times. This patch adds option to instruct the kernel to only authorize devices connected to the internal ports. Previously we could either authorize all or none (or, by default, we'd only authorize wired devices). The behavior is controlled via usbcore.authorized_default command line option.
