The MDP4/5 DT node now contains a list of ports that describe how it
connects to external encoder interfaces like DSI and HDMI. These follow
the standard of_graph bindings, and allow us to get rid of the 'connectors'
phandle that contained a list of all the external encoders connected to
MDP.

Add a new doc for DT bindings for platforms that contain MDP5 display
controller hardware. The doc describes bindings for the top level
MDSS wrapper hardware and MDP5 itself.
Add an example for the bindings as found in MSM8916.

they require. Rename the binding doc to mdp4.txt and remove MDP5 specific
pieces. A separate document will be created for MDP5

The PLL in the DSI PHY block generates 2 clock outputs (Byte and Pixel
clocks) that are fed into the Multimedia Clock Controller (MMCC). The MMCC
uses these as source clocks for some of its RCGs to generate clocks that
finally feed to the DSI host controller.
Use the assigned clocks DT bindings to set up the MMCC RCGs that feed to
the DSI host. Use the DSI PHY provided clocks to set up the parents
of these assigned clocks.

The DSI node now has two ports that describe the connection between the
MDP interface output and the DSI input, and the connection between the DSI
output and the connected panel/bridge. Update the properties and the
example.
Also, use generic PHY bindings instead of the custom one.

The "qcom,data-lane-map" binding mentioned in the document is changed to
the more generic "data-lanes" property specified in:
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/media/video-interfaces.txt
The previous binding expressed physical to logical data lane mappings,
the standard "data-lanes" binding uses logical to physical data lane
mappings. Update the docs to reflect this change. The example had the
property incorrectly named as "lanes", update this too.
The MSM DSI DT bindings aren't used anywhere at the moment, so
it's okay to update this property.

well as the addition of a pin controller for DPAUX, which is required by
boards to configure the DPAUX pads in AUX mode (for DisplayPort) or I2C
mode (for HDMI and DDC).
Included is also a bit of rework of the SOR driver in preparation to add
DisplayPort support as well as some refactoring and cleanup.
Finally, all output drivers are converted to runtime PM, which greatly
simplifies the handling of clocks and resets.

The SOR clock can have various sources, with the most commonly used
being the sor_safe, pll_d2_out0, pll_dp and sor_brick clocks. These
are configured using a three level mux, of which the first 2 levels
can be treated as one. The direct parents of the SOR clock are the
sor_safe, sor_brick and sor_src clocks, whereas the pll_d2_out0 and
pll_dp clocks can be selected as parents of the sor_src clock via a
second mux.
Previous generations of Tegra have only supported eDP and LVDS with
the SOR, where LVDS was never used on publicly available hardware.
Clocking for this only ever required the first level mux (to select
between sor_safe and sor_brick).
Tegra210 has a new revision of the SOR that supports HDMI and hence
needs to support the second level mux to allow selecting pll_d2_out0
as the SOR clock's parent. This second mux is knows as sor_src, and
operating system software needs a reference to it in order to select
the proper parent.

On Tegra124, Tegra132 and Tegra210 devices the pads used by the Display
Port Auxiliary (DPAUX) channel are multiplexed such that they can also
be used by one of the internal I2C controllers. Note that this is
different from I2C-over-AUX supported by the DPAUX controller. The
register that configures these pads is part of the DPAUX controllers
register set and so a pinctrl driver is being added for the DPAUX device
to share these pads. Add the device-tree binding documentation for the
DPAUX pad controller.
Although there is only one group of pads associated with the DPAUX that
can be multiplexed, the group still needs to be described by the binding.
If the 'groups' property is not present in the binding, then the pads
will not be allocated by the pinctrl core for a client and this would
allow another client to re-configure the same pads that may already be
in-use.
Please note that although the "off" function for the DPAUX pads is not
technically a pin-mux setting but more of a pin-conf setting it is
simpler to expose these as a function so that the user can simply select
either "aux", "i2c" or "off" as the current function/mode.
Update the main DPAUX binding documentation to reference the DPAUX pad
controller binding document and add the 'i2c-bus' subnode. The 'i2c-bus'
subnode is used for populating I2C slaves for the DPAUX device so that
the I2C driver core does not attempt to add the DPAUX pad controller
nodes as I2C slaves.

For RK3399's GRF module, if we want to operate the graphic related grf
registers, we need to enable the pclk_vio_grf which supply power for VIO
GRF IOs, so it's better to introduce an optional grf clock in driver.

sas_ata_strategy_handler() adds the works of the ata error handler to
system_unbound_wq. This workqueue asynchronously runs work items, so the
ata error handler will be performed concurrently on different CPUs. In
this case, ->host_failed will be decreased simultaneously in
scsi_eh_finish_cmd() on different CPUs, and become abnormal.
It will lead to permanently inequality between ->host_failed and
->host_busy, and scsi error handler thread won't start running. IO
errors after that won't be handled.
Since all scmds must have been handled in the strategy handler, just
remove the decrement in scsi_eh_finish_cmd() and zero ->host_busy after
the strategy handler to fix this race.

First round of iio fixes for the 4.7 cycle.
A slightly bumper set due to travel delaying the pull request and a fair few
issues with the recent merge window patches. Patches all over the place.
The st-sensors one is probably the most involved, but definitly solves the
issues seen. Note there are some other issues around that handler
(and the fact that a lot of boards tie a level interrupt chip to an
edge interrupt only irq chip). These are not regressions however, so
will turn up the slow route.
* core
- iio_trigger_attach_pollfunc had some really badly wrong error handling.
Another nasty triggered whilst chasing down issues with the st sensors
rework below.
* ad5592r
- fix an off by one error when allocating channels.
* am2315
- a stray mutex unlock before we ever take the lock.
* apds9960
- missing a parent in the driver model (which should be the i2c device).
Result is it doesn't turn up under /sys/bus/i2c/devices which some
userspace code uses for repeatable device identification.
* as3935
- ABI usage bug which meant a processed value was reported as raw. Now
reporting scale as well to ensure userspace has the info it needs.
- Don't return processed value via the buffer - it doesn't conform to
the ABI and will overflow in some cases.
- Fix a wrongly sized buffer which would overflow trashing part of the
stack. Also move it onto the heap as part of the fix.
* bh1780
- a missing return after write in debugfs lead to an incorrect read and
a null pointer dereference.
- dereferencing the wrong pointer in suspend and resume leading to
unpredictable results.
- assign a static name to avoid accidentally ending up with no name if
loaded via device tree.
* bmi160
- output data rate for the accelerometer was incorrectly reported. Fix it.
- writing the output data rate was also wrong due to reverse parameters.
* bmp280
- error message for wrong chip ID gave the wrong expected value.
* hdc100x
- mask for writing the integration time was wrong allowin g us to get
'stuck' in a particular value with no way back.
- temperature reported in celsius rather than millicelsius as per the
ABI.
- Get rid of some incorrect data shifting which lead to readings being
rather incorrect.
* max44000
- drop scale attribute for proximity as it is an unscaled value (depends
on what is in range rather than anything knowable at the detector).
* st-pressure
- ABI compliance fixes - units were wrong.
* st-sensors
- We introduced some nasty issues with the recent switch over to a
a somewhat threaded handler in that we broke using a software trigger
with these devices. Now do it properly. It's a larger patch than ideal
for a fix, but the logic is straight forward.
- Make sure the trigger is initialized before requesting the interrupt.
This matters now the interrupt can be shared. Before it was ugly and wrong
but short of flakey hardware could not be triggered.
- Hammer down the dataready pin at boot - otherwise with really
unlucky timing things could get interestingly wedged requiring a hard power
down of the chip.

IIO_CHAN_INFO_RAW was returning processed data which was incorrect.
This also adds the IIO_CHAN_INFO_SCALE value to convert to a processed value.

Commit 76931edd54f8 ("leds: fix brightness changing when software blinking
is active") changed the semantics of led_set_brightness() which according
to the documentation should disable blinking upon any brightness setting.
Moreover it made it different for soft blink case, where it was possible
to change blink brightness, and for hardware blink case, where setting
any brightness greater than 0 was ignored.
While the change itself is against the documentation claims, it was driven
also by the fact that timer trigger remained active after turning blinking
off. Fixing that would have required major refactoring in the led-core,
led-class, and led-triggers because of cyclic dependencies.
Finally, it has been decided that allowing for brightness change during
blinking is beneficial as it can be accomplished without disturbing
blink rhythm.
The change in brightness setting semantics will not affect existing
LED class drivers that implement blink_set op thanks to the LED_BLINK_SW
flag introduced by this patch. The flag state will be from now on checked
in led_set_brightness() which will allow to distinguish between software
and hardware blink mode. In the latter case the control will be passed
directly to the drivers which apply their semantics on brightness set,
which is disable the blinking in case of most such drivers. New drivers
will apply new semantics and just change the brightness while hardware
blinking is on, if possible.
The issue was smuggled by subsequent LED core improvements, which modified
the code that originally introduced the problem.

We already have a fallback in place to fill out the unique from
dev->unique, which is set to something reasonable in drm_dev_alloc.
Which means we only need to have a special set_busid for pci devices,
to be able to care the backwards compat code for drm 1.1 around, which
libdrm still needs.
While developing and testing this patch things blew up in really
interesting ways, and the code is rather confusing in naming things
between the kernel code, ioctl #defines and libdrm. For the next brave
dragon slayer, document all this madness properly in the userspace
interface section of gpu.tmpl.
