* ARM: configs: Remove useless UEVENT_HELPER_PATHKrzysztof Kozlowski2019-06-191-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove the CONFIG_UEVENT_HELPER_PATH because: 1. It is disabled since commit 1be01d4a5714 ("driver: base: Disable CONFIG_UEVENT_HELPER by default") as its dependency (UEVENT_HELPER) was made default to 'n', 2. It is not recommended (help message: "This should not be used today [...] creates a high system load") and was kept only for ancient userland, 3. Certain userland specifically requests it to be disabled (systemd README: "Legacy hotplug slows down the system and confuses udev"). * ARM: mvebu: defconfig: add MTD_SPI_NOR (new dependency for M25P80)Brian Norris2014-05-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | These defconfigs contain the CONFIG_M25P80 symbol, which is now dependent on the MTD_SPI_NOR symbol. Add CONFIG_MTD_SPI_NOR to satisfy the new dependency. At the same time, drop the now-nonexistent CONFIG_MTD_CHAR symbol. * ARM: dove: Remove UBI support from defconfigEzequiel Garcia2014-02-051-1/+0
| | | | | | | | As NAND support is not enabled by default, it's hard to see why we'd want to have UBI support. Let's remove it. Signed-off-by: Ezequiel Garcia <ezequiel.garcia@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Jason Cooper <jason@lakedaemon.net>

* ARM: dove: update dove_defconfig with a few useful optionsOlof Johansson2013-02-281-20/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This refreshes the dove_defconfig, and adds: PRINTK_TIME DEVTMPFS EXT4 They're quite useful, and allows booting a cubox ubuntu rootfs on SD card, since that by default uses ext4. The rest of the churn is due to options and defaults moving around, no functional difference. * ARM: Dove: update defconfigSebastian Hesselbarth2012-11-211-0/+24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It has been a while since dove_defconfig was updated to recent development. This patch adds all currently available Dove boards, including a DT-enabled machine. DT support requires to allow ATAGS passed by boot loader as most of them are not yet capable of passing DT blobs. Also OF_SERIAL is enabled to actually see the bootlog. Finally, sdhci driver for Dove, mv_cesa, GPIO LEDs, and highmem support is added. * kconfig: rename CONFIG_EMBEDDED to CONFIG_EXPERTDavid Rientjes2011-01-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than only small devices. This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc). Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they are making should enable it.
