* ARM: convert printk(KERN_* to pr_*Russell King2014-11-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Convert many (but not all) printk(KERN_* to pr_* to simplify the code. We take the opportunity to join some printk lines together so we don't split the message across several lines, and we also add a few levels to some messages which were previously missing them. * ARM: dma-isa: request cascade channel after registering itRussell King2009-12-241-2/+2
| | | | | | | We can't request the cascade channel before it's been registered, so move it afterwards. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] dma: make DMA_MODE_xxx reflect ISA DMA settingsRussell King2009-01-021-12/+1

* [ARM] dma: rejig DMA initializationRussell King2008-12-111-3/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Rather than having the central DMA multiplexer call the architecture specific DMA initialization function, have each architecture DMA initialization function use core_initcall(), and register each DMA channel separately with the multiplexer. This removes the array of dma structures in the central multiplexer, replacing it with an array of pointers instead; this is more flexible since it allows the drivers to wrap the DMA structure (eventually allowing us to transition non-ISA DMA drivers away.) * [ARM] dma: remove dmach_t typedefRussell King2008-12-081-21/+21
| | | | | | Remove a pointless integer typedef. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

* [ARM] arch/arm/kernel/dma-isa.c: named initializersAdrian Bunk2006-05-161-6/+17
| | | | | | | | | | This patch converts struct dma_resources to named initializers. Besides fixing a compile error in -mm, it didn't sound like a bad idea. * [ARM] Remove '__address' from scatterlist and convert to DMA APIRussell King2006-01-041-9/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | The old __address element in struct scatterlist remained from older kernels because the ARM DMA emulation code made use of it. Move this field into struct dma_struct, and convert DMA emulation code to setup a SG entry as required. Also, convert DMA emulation code to use the new DMA API rather than the PCI DMA API. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
