* [ARM] S3C2410: Move base clock code to plat-s3c24xxBen Dooks2008-12-151-276/+0
| | | | | | | | Move the S3C2410 base clock list to arch/arm/plat-s3c24xx as this code is common to the S3C2410, S3C2440 and S3C2442 cpus. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>
* Merge branch 's3c-move' into develRussell King2008-10-141-4/+4
|\ | | | | | | | | | | Conflicts: arch/arm/mach-versatile/core.c
| * [ARM] S3C24XX: Additional include movesBen Dooks2008-10-081-1/+1

| * [ARM] S3C24XX: Move files out of include/asm-arm/plat-s3c*Ben Dooks2008-10-071-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | First move of items out of include/asm-arm/plat-s3c* to their new homes under arch/arm/plat-s3c/include/plat and arch/arm/plat-s3c24xx/include/plat directories. Note, we have to create a dummy arch/arm/plat-s3c/Makefile to allow us to add arch/arm/plat-s3c/include/plat to the path. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>

* [ARM] Move include/asm-arm/arch-* to arch/arm/*/include/machRussell King2008-08-071-3/+3

* [ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King2008-08-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. * [ARM] 4508/1: S3C: Move items to include/asm-arm/plat-s3cBen Dooks2007-07-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch moves items of the s3c24xx support into a new plat-s3c directory for items that use the s3c24xx support but are not directly s3c24xx compatible, such as the s3c2400 and s3c6400. git mv commands: git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/iic.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/iic.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/nand.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/nand.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-iic.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-iic.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-nand.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-nand.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-rtc.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-rtc.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-serial.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-serial.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-timer.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-timer.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-watchdog.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-watchdog.h Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 4157/2: S3C24XX: move arch/arch/mach-s3c2410 into cpu componentsBen Dooks2007-02-111-369/+196
| | | | | | | | | | | | The following patch and script moves the arch/arm/mach-s3c2410 directory into arch/arm/plat-s3c24xx for the generic core code and inti arch/arm/mach-s3c{cpu} for the cpu/machine support files Include directory include/asm-arm/plat-s3c24xx is added for the core include files. * [ARM] 3640/1: S3C2412: Use S3C24XX_DCLKCON instead of S3C2410_DCLKCONBen Dooks2006-06-241-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Ben Dooks The current S3C2412 support has moved to using S3C24XX_DCLKCON unless the specific DCLKCON is required (S3C2412_DCLKCON or S3C2410_DKCLKCON) Move the few places using S3C2410_DCLKCON to S3C24XX_DCLKCON Depends on Patch #3635/1 Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3637/1: S3C24XX: Add mpll clock, and set as fclk parentBen Dooks2006-06-241-2/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Ben Dooks Update the clocks with the MPLL clock, and use it as the parent. Also export these to the rest of arch/arm/mach-s3c2410 Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3628/1: S3C24XX: add get_rate call to struct clkBen Dooks2006-06-221-2/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Ben Dooks Add a get_rate call to allow an given clock to over-ride the clk_get_rate() call. This provides support for clocks which rely on division of their parent to correctly report their frequency when the parent can also change. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3627/1: S3C24XX: split s3c2410 clocks from core clocksBen Dooks2006-06-221-214/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Ben Dooks Split the s3c2410 specific clocks from the core clock code, as part of the work to support more of the Samsung line of SoCs. The patch does not use the sysdev mechanism as the clocks are needed for the timer init, which is very early in the kernel init sequence. | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Ben Dooks Move the UPLL clock registration to the central clock file, and add an enable method Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3303/1: S3C24XX - add clock enable usage countingBen Dooks2006-02-081-10/+33
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Ben Dooks Move to using an enable count for the shared clocks and protect the clock system using a mutex instead of just disabling IRQs during the clock update. Since there is little more code in the path for non-shared clocks, the enable and disable calls use the same code for each. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Convert some arm semaphores to mutexesArjan van de Ven2006-01-121-5/+6

* [ARM] Remove clk_use()/clk_unuse()Russell King2006-01-031-15/+0
| | | | | | | | | It seems that clk_use() and clk_unuse() are additional complexity which isn't required anymore. Remove them from the clock framework to avoid the additional confusion which they cause, and update all ARM machine types except for OMAP. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
