| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At late init all unused clocks are disabled. So clocks that were not get before will be gated. In Keysone 2 SoC we have at least one necessary clock that is not used by any driver - "msmcsram". This clock is necessary, because it supplies the Multicore Shared Memory Controller (MSMC). MSMC is the coherency interconnect and all the coherent masters are connected to it including devices which are not under Linux OS control. MSMC clock should not be touched even in low power states. So drop the clock node, otherwise 'clk_ignore_unused' parameter will disable the clock leading to system stall. As expected for irqchip drivers, it uses a C-style interrupt handler and therefore selects MULTI_IRQ_HANDLER. Now, compiling a kernel with both non-DT and DT support enabled, selecting MULTI_IRQ_HANDLER will break ASM irq handler used by non-DT boards. Therefore, we provide a C-style irq handler even for non-DT boards, if MULTI_IRQ_HANDLER is set. By installing the C-style irq handler in orion_irq_init this is transparent to all non-DT board files. While the regression report was filed on Marvell Kirkwood, also Marvell Dove non-DT boards are affected and fixed by this patch. This can happen in practice on ARM where foreign pages can be above 4GB even though the local kernel does not have LPAE page tables enabled (which is totally reasonable if the guest does not itself have >4GB of RAM). In this case the kernel still maps the foreign pages at a phys addr below 4G (as it must) but the resulting DMA address (returned by the grant map operation) is much higher. This is analogous to a hardware device which has its view of RAM mapped up high for some reason. This patch makes I/O to foreign pages (specifically blkif) work on 32-bit ARM systems with more than 4GB of RAM.
