* m68k: merge m68k and m68knommu arch directoriesGreg Ungerer2011-03-254-462/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There is a lot of common code that could be shared between the m68k and m68knommu arch branches. It makes sense to merge the two branches into a single directory structure so that we can more easily share that common code. This is a brute force merge, based on a script from Stephen King <sfking@fdwdc.com>, which was originally written by Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>. > The script was inspired by the script Sam Ravnborg used to merge the > includes from m68knommu. For those files common to both arches but > differing in content, the m68k version of the file is renamed to > <file>_mm.<ext> and the m68knommu version of the file is moved into the > corresponding m68k directory and renamed <file>_no.<ext> and a small > wrapper file <file>.<ext> is used to select between the two version. Files > that are common to both but don't differ are removed from the m68knommu > tree and files and directories that are unique to the m68knommu tree are > moved to the m68k tree. Finally, the arch/m68knommu tree is removed. > > To select between the the versions of the files, the wrapper uses > > #ifdef CONFIG_MMU > #include <file>_mm.<ext> > #else > #include <file>_no.<ext> > #endif On top of this file merge I have done a simplistic merge of m68k and m68knommu Kconfig, which primarily attempts to keep existing options and menus in place. Other than a handful of options being moved it produces identical .config outputs on m68k and m68knommu targets I tested it on. With this in place there is now quite a bit of scope for merge cleanups in future patches. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: fix gpio warnings for ColdFire 5272 targetsGreg Ungerer2011-03-151-9/+9

* m68knommu: 5772: Replace private irq flow handlerThomas Gleixner2011-03-151-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | That handler lacks the minimal checks for action being zero etc. Keep the weird flow - ack before handling - intact and call into handle_simple_irq which does the right thing. * m68knommu: some boards use fixed phy for FEC ethernetGreg Ungerer2010-10-221-0/+16
| | | | | | | Define a fixed phy setup for use on boarts that directly connect the FEC ethernet controller to a switch. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: support the external GPIO based interrupts of the 5272Greg Ungerer2010-10-211-5/+51
| | | | | | | | | The external GPIO interrupts of the ColdFire 5272 SoC are edge triggered, unlike the internal interrupt sources (which are level triggered). Add proper support for these interrupts. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: change to new flag variablesmatt mooney2010-10-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | Replace EXTRA_CFLAGS with ccflags-y and EXTRA_AFLAGS with asflags-y. Signed-off-by: matt mooney <mfm@muteddisk.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: stop using __do_IRQGreg Ungerer2010-10-211-5/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | The use of __do_IRQ is deprecated, so lets stop using it. Generally the interrupts on the supported processors here are level triggered, so this is strait forward to switch over to using the standard handle_level_irq flow handler. (Although some ColdFire parts support edge triggered GPIO line interrupts we have no support for them yet). Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: remove ColdFire direct interrupt register accessGreg Ungerer2009-09-161-57/+8
| | | | | | | | Now that the ColdFire 5272 has full interrupt controller functionality we can remove all the interrupt masking and acking code from the FEC ethernet driver. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: create a speciailized ColdFire 5272 interrupt controllerGreg Ungerer2009-09-162-1/+139
| | | | | | | | The ColdFire 5272 CPU has a very different interrupt controller than any of the other ColdFire parts. It needs its own controller code to correctly setup and ack interrupts. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: simplify ColdFire "timers" clock initializationGreg Ungerer2009-09-161-14/+8
| | | | | | | | | The ColdFire "timers" clock setup can be simplified. There is really no need for the flexible per-platform setup code. The clock interrupt can be hard defined per CPU platform (in CPU include files). This makes the actual timer code simpler. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: remove duplicate ColdFire mcf_autovector() codeGreg Ungerer2009-09-161-7/+0
| | | | | | | | | Each of the ColdFire CPU platform code that used the old style interrupt controller had its own copy of the mcf_autovector() function. They are all the same, remove them all and create a single function in the common coldfire/intc.c code. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* generic GPIO support for the Freescale Coldfire 5272.sfking@fdwdc.com2009-09-102-1/+82
| | | | | | | Add support for the 5272. Signed-off-by: Steven King <sfking@fdwdc.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: move CPU reset code for the 5272 ColdFire into its platform codeGreg Ungerer2009-06-111-4/+14

* m68knommu: use asflags instead of EXTRA_AFLAGSGreg Ungerer2008-02-151-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Modify the extra asm flags for debugger capabilities, use asflags instead for EXTRA_AFLAGS. Suggestion from Sam Ravnborg. * m68knommu: remove dead timer int pending codeGreg Ungerer2008-02-011-13/+0
| | | | | | | | Remove all the dead timer interrupt checking functions for the ColdFire CPU "timers" hardware that are not used after switching to GENERIC_TIME. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* m68knommu: platform setup for 5272 ColdFire partsGreg Ungerer2008-02-011-9/+63
| | | | | | | | | Switch to platform style configuration for 5272 ColdFire parts. Initial support is for the UARTs. DMA support moved to common code for all ColdFire parts. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* m68knommu: cleanup m68knommu timer codeGreg Ungerer2007-10-231-10/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Reduce the function pointer mess of the m68knommu timer code by calling directly to the local hardware's timer setup, and expose the local common timer interrupt handler to the lower level hardware timer. Ultimately this will save definitions of all these functions across all the platform code to setup the function pointers (which for any given m68knommu CPU family member can be only one set of hardware timer functions). Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* kbuild: fix AFLAGS use in h8300 and m68knommuSam Ravnborg2007-10-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | In most cases when AFALGS is manipuled direct this is a bug and EXTRA_AFLAGS should have been used. Fix the obvious candidates. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Cc: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Cc: Yoshinori Sato <ysato@users.sourceforge.jp>
* m68knommu: remove use of colfire_trap_initGreg Ungerer2007-07-261-2/+0
| | | | | | | | The switch to using the generic irq framework removed the coldfire_trap_init() code, so remove all references to it. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* m68knommu: make BOOTPARAM setup commonGreg Ungerer2007-07-251-6/+1
| | | | | | | | | Currently most of the m68knommu cpu/board setup files are handling the setup of fixed boot parameters (via CONFIG_BOOTPARAM) themselves. Move all this into the common setup code. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: use irq_handler_t for passing handler typesGreg Ungerer2007-02-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | Use irq_handler_t for passing clock handler routine around. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* Remove obsolete #include <linux/config.h>Jörn Engel2006-06-301-1/+0

* [PATCH] m68knommu: register map setup for MOD5272 boardGreg Ungerer2005-09-091-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | The boot loader on the MOD5272 board doesn't set the register maping, so set it in the 5272 init code. There was code in there to support this, but we had never needed to use it before. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
