| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With CONFIG_OF_ALL_DTBS=y, as set by eg. allmodconfig, we see lots of warnings about our dts files, such as: arch/powerpc/boot/dts/glacier.dts:492.26-532.5: Warning (pci_bridge): /plb/pciex@d00000000: node name is not "pci" or "pcie" The node name should not particularly matter, it's just a name, and AFAICS there's no kernel code that cares whether nodes are *named* "pciex" or "pcie". So shutup these warnings by converting to the name dtc wants. As always there's some risk this could break something obscure that does rely on the name, in which case we can revert. These platforms are no longer supported and tested. PowerPC 405/440 port is orphan from 2013 by commit cdeb89943bfc ("MAINTAINERS: Fix incorrect status tag") and commit 19624236cce1 ("MAINTAINERS: Update Grant's email address and maintainership") that's why it is time to remove the support fot these platforms. It was also missing #interrupt-cells on the outer PCI buses. p1020rdb-pc was updated to 4-cell interrupt specifiers, but the ethernet-phy nodes weren't updated. mpc832x_rdb had an invalid "interrupts = <0>" on the ethernet-phy nodes. Besides being the wrong number of cells, 0 is not a valid IPIC interrupt according to ipic.c. Presumably it was meant to indicate that these PHYs are not connected to an interrupt. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The bamboo dts has a bug: it uses a non-naturally aligned range for PCI memory space. This isnt' supported by the code, thus causing PCI to break on this system. This is due to the fact that while the chip memory map has 1G reserved for PCI memory, it's only 512M aligned. The code doesn't know how to split that into 2 different PMMs and fails, so limit the region to 512M.
