* sparc,sparc64: unify kernel/Sam Ravnborg2008-12-041-257/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | o Move all files from sparc64/kernel/ to sparc/kernel - rename as appropriate o Update sparc/Makefile to the changes o Update sparc/kernel/Makefile to include the sparc64 files NOTE: This commit changes link order on sparc64! Link order had to change for either of sparc32 and sparc64. And assuming sparc64 see more testing than sparc32 change link order on sparc64 where issues will be caught faster. * sparc: Kill EBUS driver layer.David S. Miller2008-08-301-294/+1
| | | | | | | All that remains is the EBUS DMA programming library for sparc64. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* sparc: Move EBUS DMA interfaces into seperate header file.David S. Miller2008-08-301-0/+1
| | | | | | | | These have no dependencies on the EBUS probing layer, the clients setup the registers and all of those details. The EBUS DMA layer just programs and manages the DMA controller found in EBUS. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* sparc: Delete bare sbus char bpp driver, obsoleted by parport_sunbppDavid S. Miller2008-08-291-1/+0

* sparc: don't use asm/of_device.hStephen Rothwell2008-08-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | Use linux/of_device.h instead. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* sparc64: fix up bus_id changes in sparc core codeGreg Kroah-Hartman2008-07-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts all instances of bus_id in the sparc core kernel to use either dev_set_name(), or dev_name() depending on the need. This is done in anticipation of removing the bus_id field from struct driver. Cc: Kay Sievers <kay.sievers@vrfy.org> Acked-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* sparc64: remove CVS keywordsAdrian Bunk2008-05-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This patch removes the CVS keywords that weren't updated for a long time from comments. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC64]: NUMA device infrastructure.David S. Miller2008-04-241-0/+1
| | | | | | Record and propagate NUMA information for devices. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC]: Fix EBUS use of uninitialized variable.David S. Miller2007-09-271-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | If of_get_property() fails, it returns NULL and the 'len' parameter is undefined. So we need to explicitly set len to zero in such cases. Noticed by Al Viro. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC64]: Fix conflicts in SBUS/PCI/EBUS/ISA DMA handling.David S. Miller2007-07-301-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fully unify all of the DMA ops so that subordinate bus types to the DMA operation providers (such as ebus, isa, of_device) can work transparently. Basically, we just make sure that for every system device we create, the dev->archdata 'iommu' and 'stc' fields are filled in. Then we have two platform variants of the DMA ops, one for SUN4U which actually programs the real hardware, and one for SUN4V which makes hypervisor calls. This also fixes the crashes in parport_pc on sparc64, reported by Meelis Roos. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC]: Make sure dev_archdata is filled in for all devices.David S. Miller2007-07-211-0/+5

* [SPARC64]: Kill asm-sparc64/pbm.hDavid S. Miller2007-05-091-1/+2
| | | | | | Everything it contains can be hidden in pci_impl.h Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC64] ebus: Convert to use pci_device_to_OF_node().David S. Miller2007-04-261-9/+3
| | | | | | | Also, we don't need to store or use the PBM so kill that from the linux_ebus. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* [SPARC]: Fix bus_id[] string overflow.David S. Miller2006-10-271-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | dp->path_component_name can be larger than ->bus_id[] so use a different naming scheme for this stuff. Noticed by Jurij Smakov. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* [SPARC64]: of_device layer IRQ resolutionDavid S. Miller2006-06-301-117/+33
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Do IRQ determination generically by parsing the PROM properties, and using IRQ controller drivers for final resolution. One immediate positive effect is that all of the IRQ frobbing in the EBUS, ISA, and PCI controller layers has been eliminated. We just look up the of_device and use the properly computed value. The PCI controller irq_build() routines are gone and no longer used. Unfortunately sbus_build_irq() has to remain as there is a direct reference to this in the sunzilog driver. That can be killed off once the sparc32 side of this is written and the sunzilog driver is transformed into an "of" bus driver. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC64]: Make auxio a real driver.David S. Miller2006-06-241-8/+0

* [SPARC64]: Add of_device layer and make ebus/isa use it.David S. Miller2006-06-241-0/+21
| | | | | | | | | | Sparcspkr and power drivers are converted, to make sure it works. Eventually the SBUS device layer will use this as a sub-class. I really cannot cut loose on that bit until sparc32 is given the same infrastructure. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC64]: Kill ebus/isa range and interrupt mapping struct members.David S. Miller2006-06-241-48/+17
| | | | | | Unused outside of initial bus probe scan. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* [SPARC64]: Convert sparc64 PCI layer to in-kernel device tree.David S. Miller2006-06-241-3/+3
| | | | | | | | One thing this change pointed out was that we really should pull the "get 'local-mac-address' property" logic into a helper function all the network drivers can call. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC64]: kzalloc() conversionEric Sesterhenn2006-03-201-2/+1

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
