Also a fix for a regression where we now are wrongly trying to initialize devices on secure omaps like n900 and n9* when booted using device tree. We need to set aes, sham and timer12 to disabled mode for secure devices as they are claimed by the firmware running in the secure mode. And two more legacy booting vs device tree based booting fixes for am3517 that I did not notice earlier until Nishant Menon reported these to me few days ago. So they should all be fixed up to be separate devices in the .dts files. We also have the related data removed for at least omap4 in commit 3b9b10151c68 (ARM: OMAP4: hwmod data: Clean up the data file), so that data is wrongly initialized as null data. So we need to fix two bugs: 1. We are only checking the first entry of the ti,hwmods property This means that we're only initializing the first hwmods entry instead of the ones listed in the ti,hwmods property. 2. We are only checking the child nodes, not the nodes themselves This means that anything listed at OCP level is currently just ignored and unitialized and at least the omap4 case, with the legacy data missing from the hwmod. Fix both of the issues by using an index to the ti,hwmods property and changing the hwmod lookup function to also check the current node for ti,hwmods property instead of just the children. While at it, let's also add some warnings for the bad data so it's easier to fix. Main reason for this problem is, that the linkage tables (.plt, .opd, .dlt) tend to become pretty huge and thus the distance gets too big for short calls. One option to avoid this is to use the -mlong-calls compiler option, but this increases the binary size and introduces a performance penalty. Instead, with this patch we just lay out the binary differently. Init code is stored first, followed by text, R/O and finally R/W data. But this remapping failed with EINVAL. The problem is, that when MAP_FIXED and MAP_SHARED flags were used, we didn't included the mapping-based offset when we verified the alignment of the given fixed address against the offset which we calculated it in the previous call. So it was reverted (commit b7a8ca5 (ARM: at91: rm9200 fix time support)) which stopped the oops from happening because min_delta_ns is increased by one in arch code which stopped from problem from happening. Now that the timer core problem is fixed (commit a4578ea (clockevents: Sanitize ticks to nsec conversion)), we can switch back to the clockevents_config_and_register helper. However, setting the memory type like pgprot_writecombine() is allowed and such bits overlap with PTE_PROT_NONE. This causes mmap/munmap issues in drivers that change the vma->vm_pg_prot on PROT_NONE mappings. This patch reverts the PTE_FILE/PTE_PROT_NONE shift in commit 59911ca4325d (ARM64: mm: Move PTE_PROT_NONE bit) and moves PTE_PROT_NONE together with the other software bits. This causes interrupts taken from EL0 to hit the (open coded) BUG when this flag is flipped while handling the interrupt (we compare the values before and after, and kill the kernel if they are different). The fix is to stop messing with the preempt count entirely, as this is already being dealt with in the generic code (irq_enter/irq_exit). Tested on a dual A53 FPGA running cyclictest. This is incorrect as the user-copy with MVCOS can cause asce-type exceptions in the kernel if a user pointer is too large. Those need to be handled with do_no_context to branch to the fixup in the user-copy code. The simplest fix for this problem is to call do_dat_exception for asce-type excpetions, as there is no vma for the address the code will handle the exception correctly. This is based on the assumption that the difference between the internal ktime and the hardware clock is reflected in the wall_to_monotonic delta. But this is not true, the ntp corrections are applied via changes to the tk->mult multiplier and this is not reflected in wall_to_monotonic.
