* ACPICA: Linuxize: Change indentation of C labels.Lv Zheng2013-10-311-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | It is reported by kernel build test systems that all ACPICA source files in the kernel tree have incorrect label indentation. This patch changes default indent option used in the release process to fix this bug. Lv Zheng. * ACPICA: Standardize all switch() blocksChao Guan2013-06-161-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | After many years, different formatting for switch() has crept in. This change makes every switch block identical. Chao Guan. ACPICA bugzilla 997. * ACPICA: Remove some extraneous newlines in ACPI_ERROR type callsBob Moore2013-01-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | These macros/functions automatically insert a newline, so the format string should not contain a newline at the end. (This allows these functions to add information to the end of the output line.) Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lv Zheng <lv.zheng@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. * ACPICA: Interpreter: Add warning if 64-bit constant appears in 32-bit table.Bob Moore2013-01-101-2/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | Some ASL compilers allow 64-bit constants within a 32-bit table (DSDT version == 1). When encountered, emit a warning that the constant will be truncated to 32 bits. This is potentially a serious problem in the ACPI table(s). Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lv Zheng <lv.zheng@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. * ACPICA: Cleanup source to reduce differences between Linux and ACPICA.Lv Zheng2013-01-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a cosmetic patch only. Comparison of the resulting binary showed only line number differences. This patch does not affect the generation of the Linux binary. This patch decreases 389 lines of 20121018 divergence.diff. This patch reduces source code diff caused by the simple code maintenance work: 1. Deletion of the unused include files. 2. Deletion of the deprecated codes blocks. 3. Repositioning of the code blocks. 4. Replacing the values with the well defined macros. 5. Replacing the types with the equivalent types. * ACPICA: AcpiSrc: Fix some translation issues for Linux conversionBob Moore2012-07-171-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes issues like this: i_aSL -> iASL 00-7_f -> 00-7F local_fADT -> local_FADT execute_oSI -> execute_OSI Also, in function headers, the parameters are now translated to lower case (with underscores if necessary.) * ACPICA: Fix for Alias references within Package objectsBob Moore2010-07-071-1/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This fixes a problem where a reference to an Alias within the definition of a Package was not always resolved properly. Aliases to objects like Processors, ThermalZones, etc. were resolved to the actual object instead of a reference to the object as it should be. Package objects are only allowed to contain integer, string, buffer, package, and reference objects. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=608648 Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
* ACPICA: Standardize integer output for ACPICA warnings/errorsBob Moore2010-04-201-7/+7

* ACPICA: Remove obsolete ACPI_INTEGER (acpi_integer) typeBob Moore2010-01-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This type was introduced as the code was migrated from ACPI 1.0 (with 32-bit AML integers) to ACPI 2.0 (with 64-bit integers). It is now obsolete and this change removes it from the ACPICA code base, replaced by u64. The original typedef has been retained for now for compatibility with existing device driver code. * ACPICA: Update all ACPICA copyrights and signons to 2010Bob Moore2010-01-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Add 2010 copyright to all module headers and signons, including the Linux header. This affects virtually every file in the ACPICA core subsystem, iASL compiler, and all utilities. * ACPICA: Change package length error message to an info messageBob Moore2009-11-251-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | This message happens when the package element list is longer than the declared length of the package. Changed to an info message because this condition is not actually an error. It is caused by the BIOS attempting to truncate the package on the fly by adjusting the package element count at the start of the package definition. * ACPICA: Fix memory leak for ill-formed Package objectsBob Moore2009-09-091-5/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes a possible memory leak in the interpreter for package objects if the package initializer list is longer than the defined size of the package. This apparently can only happen if the BIOS changes the package size on the fly (seen in a _PSS object), as both iASL and the other compiler do not allow this. The interpreter will truncate the package to the defined size (and issue an error message), but can leave the extra objects undeleted if they have been pre-created during the argument processing (such is the case if the package consists of a number of sub-packages as in the _PSS.) * ACPICA: Remove ACPI_GET_OBJECT_TYPE macroBob Moore2009-03-261-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | Remove all instances of this obsolete macro, since it is now a simple reference to ->common.type. There were about 150 invocations of the macro across 41 files.
