* ata: remove palmld pata driverArnd Bergmann2023-01-201-137/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The PXA palmld machine was removed, so the pata driver is no longer used and can be removed. There is a chance that some of this code might be useful for turning some of the other PXA PCMCIA host drivers into PATA drivers, but it's clear that it would not work unmodified, and it seems unlikely that someone would do this work. | | | | | | | | | | If devm_platform_ioremap_resource() fails, it never return NULL pointer, replace the check with IS_ERR(). * ARM: pxa: use pdev resource for palmld mmioArnd Bergmann2022-04-201-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The palmld header is almost unused in drivers, the only remaining thing now is the PATA device address, which should really be passed as a resource. * ata: palmld: Introduce state containerLinus Walleij2018-12-051-23/+36
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This creates a state container struct for the Palm LifeDrive ATA controller, and puts the ATA host and the two GPIO descriptors into this container. This avoids using a singleton so potentially multiple PATA interfaces can be instantiated. | | | | | | | | | | Instead of passing GPIO numbers directly to the PalmLD ATA driver, pass GPIO descriptors from the board file and handle these in the driver. * libata: remove ata_sff_data_xfer_noirq()Sebastian Andrzej Siewior2018-07-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ata_sff_data_xfer_noirq() is invoked via the ->sff_data_xfer hook. The latter is invoked by ata_pio_sector(), atapi_send_cdb() and __atapi_pio_bytes() which in turn is invoked by ata_sff_hsm_move(). The latter function requires that the "ap->lock" lock is held which needs to be taken with disabled interrupts. There is no need have to have ata_sff_data_xfer_noirq() which invokes ata_sff_data_xfer32() with disabled interrupts because at this point the interrupts are already disabled. Remove the function and its references to it and replace all callers with ata_sff_data_xfer32(). * Drivers: ata: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-041-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.
