In most cases, the use is completely redundant, but in some cases we need to use the new API to check if the clock is an OMAP clock or not. * clk: ti: convert to use proper register definition for all accessesTero Kristo2017-03-081-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, TI clock driver uses an encapsulated struct that is cast into a void pointer to store all register addresses. This can be considered as rather nasty hackery, and prevents from expanding the register address field also. Instead, replace all the code to use proper struct in place for this, which contains all the previously used data. This patch is rather large as it is touching multiple files, but this can't be split up as we need to avoid any boot breakage. * CLK: TI: add support for clockdomain bindingTero Kristo2014-01-171-0/+70
Some OMAP clocks require knowledge about their parent clockdomain for book keeping purposes. This patch creates a new DT binding for TI clockdomains, which act as a collection of device clocks. Clockdomain itself is rather misleading name for the hardware functionality, as at least on OMAP4 / OMAP5 / DRA7 the clockdomains can be collections of either clocks and/or IP blocks, thus idle-domain or such might be more appropriate. For most cases on these SoCs, the kernel doesn't even need the information and the mappings can be ignored.
