* drm: automatic legacy gamma supportTomi Valkeinen2020-12-151-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | To support legacy gamma ioctls the drivers need to set drm_crtc_funcs.gamma_set either to a custom implementation or to drm_atomic_helper_legacy_gamma_set. Most of the atomic drivers do the latter. We can simplify this by making the core handle it automatically. Move the drm_atomic_helper_legacy_gamma_set() functionality into drm_color_mgmt.c to make drm_mode_gamma_set_ioctl() use drm_crtc_funcs.gamma_set if set or GAMMA_LUT property if not. * drm: Split out drm_probe_helper.hDaniel Vetter2019-01-241-1/+1

Split them out. To make sure I actually achieved the goal here I went through all drivers. And indeed, all atomic drivers are now free of drm_crtc_helper.h includes. v2: Make it compile. There was so much compile fail on arm drivers that I figured I'll better not include any of the acks on v1. v3: Massive rebase because i915 has lost a lot of drmP.h includes, but not all: Through drm_crtc_helper.h > drm_modeset_helper.h -> drmP.h there was still one, which this patch largely removes. Which means rolling out lots more includes all over. This will also conflict with ongoing drmP.h cleanup by others I expect. v3: Rebase on top of atomic bochs. v4: Review from Laurent for bridge/rcar/omap/shmob/core bits: - (re)move some of the added includes, use the better include files in other places (all suggested from Laurent adopted unchanged). - sort alphabetically v5: Actually try to sort them, and while at it, sort all the ones I touch. v6: Rebase onto i915 changes. v7: Rebase once more. * drm: mali-dp: Check the mclk rate and allow up/down scalingMihail Atanassov2017-04-241-12/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | When downscaling, mclk needs to be sufficiently higher than pxlclk in order to be able to fetch the higher-resolution data and produce output pixels. When not scaling, or when upscaling, mclk can be equal to pxlclk. Since the driver doesn't control mclk, just ensure that the requirement is satisfied with the current clock rate. * drm: mali-dp: Add plane upscaling supportMihail Atanassov2017-04-241-0/+80
| | | | | | | | | | | Enable the scaling engine for upscaling a single plane using the polyphase scaler. No image enhancement support or downscaling yet*, and composition result scaling is not implemented. * Downscaling a plane requires mclk > pxlclk. * drm: mali-dp: enable gamma supportMihail Atanassov2017-04-241-6/+116
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add gamma via the DRM GAMMA_LUT/GAMMA_LUT_SIZE CRTC properties. The expected LUT size is 4096 in order to produce as accurate a set of segments as possible. This version uses only the green channel's gamma curve to set the hardware curve on DP550/650. For the sake of simplicity, it uses the same table of coefficients for all 3 curves on DP500. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The rate of mclk depends on the use-case. If no downscaling is required, then mclk == pxlclk is a valid option; with downscaling however, the rate at which mclk runs determines how much a plane can be downscaled before composition. This is a system integration + power management issue that is more suited to firmware rather than this driver.
