* mISDN: Add allocation of recvbuf[1500] at run time to reduce stack sizeFrank Seidel2009-05-251-4/+17
| | | | | | | | | | Before: 1656 bytes on i386, now 164. Modified by Andreas Eversberg <andreas@eversberg.eu> Signed-off-by: Frank Seidel <frank@f-seidel.de> Signed-off-by: Andreas Eversberg <andreas@eversberg.eu> Signed-off-by: Karsten Keil <keil@b1-systems.de> Signed-off-by: David S. * mISDN: Fix TEI and SAPI handlingAndreas Eversberg2009-05-253-26/+29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Added SAPI value to use SAPIs different than 0. Now fixed TEIs work in NT mode. This allows PTP endpoint to be connected to PTMP ports together with other PTMP endpoints. New enhanced version, thanks to Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> for the hints. | * | USB: add reset endpoint operationsDavid Vrabel2009-04-171-8/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Wireless USB endpoint state has a sequence number and a current window and not just a single toggle bit. So allow HCDs to provide a endpoint_reset method and call this or clear the software toggles as required (after a clear halt, set configuration etc.). usb_settoggle() and friends are then HCD internal and are moved into core/hcd.h and all device drivers call usb_reset_endpoint() instead. If the device endpoint state has been reset (with a clear halt) but the host endpoint state has not then subsequent data transfers will not complete. The device will only work again after it is reset or disconnected. Signed-off-by: David Vrabel <david.vrabel@csr.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When the device is disconnected, the dev structure goes away, so trying to report another error via dev_printk is bound to oops. * | proc 2/2: remove struct proc_dir_entry::ownerAlexey Dobriyan2009-03-301-1/+0
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Setting ->owner as done currently (pde->owner = THIS_MODULE) is racy as correctly noted at bug #12454. Someone can lookup entry with NULL ->owner, thus not pinning enything, and release it later resulting in module refcount underflow. We can keep ->owner and supply it at registration time like ->proc_fops and ->data. But this leaves ->owner as easy-manipulative field (just one C assignment) and somebody will forget to unpin previous/pin current module when switching ->owner. ->proc_fops is declared as "const" which should give some thoughts. ->read_proc/->write_proc were just fixed to not require ->owner for protection. rmmod'ed directories will be empty and return "." and ".." -- no harm. And directories with tricky enough readdir and lookup shouldn't be modular. We definitely don't want such modular code. Removing ->owner will also make PDE smaller. So, let's nuke it. Kudos to Jeff Layton for reminding about this, let's say, oversight. http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12454 Signed-off-by: Alexey Dobriyan <adobriyan@gmail.com>
