* macintosh: Switch i2c drivers back to use .probe()Uwe Kleine-König2023-06-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new() call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from struct i2c_driver. * macintosh/windfarm_lm87_sensor: Convert to i2c's .probe_new()Uwe Kleine-König2022-11-241-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | The probe function doesn't make use of the i2c_device_id * parameter so it can be trivially converted. * i2c: Make remove callback return voidUwe Kleine-König2022-08-161-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored. (Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the error is ignored.) So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to return 0 before. * macintosh: windfarm: fix MODINFO regressionWolfram Sang2020-03-101-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit af503716ac14 made sure OF devices get an OF style modalias with I2C events. It assumed all in-tree users were converted, yet it missed some Macintosh drivers. Add an OF module device table for all windfarm drivers to make them automatically load again. * macintosh: Use of_node_name_{eq, prefix} for node name comparisonsRob Herring2018-12-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Convert string compares of DT node names to use of_node_name_{eq,prefix} helpers instead. This removes direct access to the node name pointer. This changes a single case insensitive node name comparison to case sensitive for "ata4". This is the only instance of a case insensitive comparison for all the open coded node name comparisons on powerpc. Searching the commit history, there doesn't appear to be any reason for it to be case insensitive. A couple of open coded iterating thru the child node names are converted to use for_each_child_of_node() instead. * powerpc/macintosh: constify wf_sensor_ops structuresJulia Lawall2017-09-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The wf_sensor_ops structures are only stored in the ops field of a wf_sensor structure, which is declared as const.
