* mfd: da9052-spi: Remove MODULE_LICENSE in non-modulesNick Alcock2023-04-261-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit 8b41fc4454e ("kbuild: create modules.builtin without Makefile.modbuiltin or tristate.conf"), MODULE_LICENSE declarations are used to identify modules. As a consequence, uses of the macro in non-modules will cause modprobe to misidentify their containing object file as a module when it is not (false positives), and modprobe might succeed rather than failing with a suitable error message. So remove it in the files in this commit, none of which can be built as modules. * spi: make remove callback a void functionUwe Kleine-König2022-02-091-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The value returned by an spi driver's remove function is mostly ignored. (Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the error is ignored.) So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to return 0 before. * regmap: split up regmap_config.use_single_rwDavid Frey2018-09-071-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Split regmap_config.use_single_rw into use_single_read and use_single_write. This change enables drivers of devices which only support bulk operations in one direction to use the regmap_bulk_*() functions for both directions and have their bulk operation split into single operations only when necessary. Update all struct regmap_config instances where use_single_rw==true to instead set both use_single_read and use_single_write. No attempt was made to evaluate whether it is possible to set only one of use_single_read or use_single_write. * mfd: da9052: Fix register access via SPIAdam Ward2015-03-121-1/+5
| | | | | | | | | | The range of registers used by this driver exceeds that available via SPI with no paging (127), so we have to override the values from the default config which is set-up for I2C access. * mfd: da9052: Avoid setting read_flag_mask for da9052-i2c driverAxel Lin2014-09-261-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Current code init regmap with &da9052_regmap_config for both da9052-spi and da9052-i2c drivers. da9052-spi sets the read_flag_mask. The same setting may be applied for da9052-i2c if da9052-spi driver is loaded first because they actually use the same regmap_config setting. Fix this issue by using a local variable for regmap_config in da9052-spi driver, so the settings in spi driver won't impact the settings in i2c driver. Also makes da9052_regmap_config const to avoid similar issue. * mfd: Remove redundant spi driver bus initializationLars-Peter Clausen2012-05-011-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In ancient times it was necessary to manually initialize the bus field of an spi_driver to spi_bus_type. These days this is done in spi_driver_register() so we can drop the manual assignment. The patch was generated using the following coccinelle semantic patch: // <smpl> @@ identifier _driver; @@ struct spi_driver _driver = { .driver = { - .bus = &spi_bus_type, }, }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Cc: Srinidhi Kasagar <srinidhi.kasagar@stericsson.com> Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add __devinit annotation for da9052_spi_probe to fix below build warning: WARNING: drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x349b4): Section mismatch in reference from the function da9052_spi_probe() to the function .devinit.text:da9052_device_init() The function da9052_spi_probe() references the function __devinit da9052_device_init().
