* tps6105x: add optional devicetree supportSven Van Asbroeck2019-11-201-3/+31
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This driver currently requires platform data to specify the operational mode and regulator init data (in case of regulator mode). Optionally specify the operational mode by looking at the name of the devicetree child node. Example: put chip in regulator mode: i2c0 { tps61052@33 { compatible = "ti,tps61052"; reg = <0x33>; regulator { regulator-min-microvolt = <5000000>; regulator-max-microvolt = <5000000>; regulator-always-on; }; }; }; Tree: linux-next Signed-off-by: Sven Van Asbroeck <TheSven73@gmail.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20191119154611.29625-2-TheSven73@gmail.com Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>

* mfd: tps6105x: Add OF device ID tableJavier Martinez Canillas2017-07-181-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The driver doesn't have a struct of_device_id table but supported devices are registered via Device Trees. This is working on the assumption that a I2C device registered via OF will always match a legacy I2C device ID and that the MODALIAS reported will always be of the form i2c:<device>. But this could change in the future so the correct approach is to have a OF device ID table if the devices are registered via OF. * mfd: tps6105x: Remove linux/regulator/driver.h includeMark Brown2016-05-091-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | This driver makes no use of linux/regulator/driver.h which should only be used by drivers implementing a regulator. Since it's unlikely to ever need anything from there remove the include. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
* mfd: tps6105x: Fix possible NULL pointer accessGrigoryev Denis2015-10-301-29/+43
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | tps6105 driver provides two cells. One is for GPIO and another one is for selected mode depending on platform data. When tps6105x is used in GPIO-only mode, this driver calls mfd_add_devices() with mfd_cell .name == NULL. This value causes an oops in platform_device_register() later. The following patch adds a mfd_cell for each possible mode thereby excluding .name assignment in runtime. * mfd: core: Push irqdomain mapping out into devicesMark Brown2012-09-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently the MFD core supports remapping MFD cell interrupts using an irqdomain but only if the MFD is being instantiated using device tree and only if the device tree bindings use the pattern of registering IPs in the device tree with compatible properties. This will be actively harmful for drivers which support non-DT platforms and use this pattern for their DT bindings as it will mean that the core will silently change remapping behaviour and it is also limiting for drivers which don't do DT with this particular pattern. There is also a potential fragility if there are interrupts not associated with MFD cells and all the cells are omitted from the device tree for some reason. Instead change the code to take an IRQ domain as an optional argument, allowing drivers to take the decision about the parent domain for their interrupts. The one current user of this feature is ab8500-core, it has the domain lookup pushed out into the driver. * mfd: Use mfd cell platform_data for tps6105x cells platform bitsSamuel Ortiz2011-05-261-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | With the addition of a platform device mfd_cell pointer, MFD drivers can go back to passing platform data back to their sub drivers. This allows for an mfd_cell->mfd_data removal and thus keep the sub drivers MFD agnostic. This is mostly needed for non MFD aware sub drivers.
