* char: Replace HTTP links with HTTPS onesAlexander A. Klimov2020-07-231-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Rationale: Reduces attack surface on kernel devs opening the links for MITM as HTTPS traffic is much harder to manipulate. Deterministic algorithm: For each file: If not .svg: For each line: If doesn't contain `\bxmlns\b`: For each link, `\bhttp://[^# \t\r\n]*(?:\w|/)`: If neither `\bgnu\.org/license`, nor `\bmozilla\.org/MPL\b`: If both the HTTP and HTTPS versions return 200 OK and serve the same content: Replace HTTP with HTTPS. * treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help'Masahiro Yamada2020-06-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit 84af7a6194e4 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over '---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances. This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines, I also fixed the indentation. There are a variety of indentation styles found. a) 4 spaces + '---help---' b) 7 spaces + '---help---' c) 8 spaces + '---help---' d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---' e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation) f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---' g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---' In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the following commend: $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>

* | misc: remove redundant 'default n' from Kconfig-sBartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz2019-05-241-1/+0
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 'default n' is the default value for any bool or tristate Kconfig setting so there is no need to write it explicitly. Also since commit f467c5640c29 ("kconfig: only write '# CONFIG_FOO is not set' for visible symbols") the Kconfig behavior is the same regardless of 'default n' being present or not: ... One side effect of (and the main motivation for) this change is making the following two definitions behave exactly the same: config FOO bool config FOO bool default n With this change, neither of these will generate a '# CONFIG_FOO is not set' line (assuming FOO isn't selected/implied). That might make it clearer to people that a bare 'default n' is redundant. ...
