Read buffer is allocated according to max message size, reported by
the firmware and may reach 64K in systems with pxp client.
Contiguous 64k allocation may fail under memory pressure.
Read buffer is used as in-driver message storage and not required
to be contiguous.
Use kvmalloc to allow kernel to allocate non-contiguous memory.

no_llseek had been defined to NULL two years ago, in commit 868941b14441
("fs: remove no_llseek")
To quote that commit,
At -rc1 we'll need do a mechanical removal of no_llseek -

would do it.
Unfortunately, that hadn't been done. Linus, could you do that now, so
that we could finally put that thing to rest? All instances are of the

This 'struct kobj_type' is not modified. It is only used in
kobject_init_and_add() which takes a 'const struct kobj_type *ktype'
parameter.
Constifying this structure and moving it to a read-only section,
and can increase over all security.

The function simple_strtoul performs no error checking
in scenarios where the input value overflows the intended
output variable.
We can replace the use of the simple_strtoul with the safer
alternatives kstrtoul.

The usage of of_get_property() is wrong. What's returned in "val" is
the property's length, not the value. Fix this by using the preferred
typed of_property_read_u32() function instead.

The test for access watchpoints (hw_access_break_test) was broken
(always failed) because the compiler optimized out the write to the
static helper variable (hw_break_val2), as it is never read anywhere.
This resulted in the target variable (hw_break_val) not being accessed
and thus the breakpoint not being triggered.
Remove the helper variable (hw_break_val2), and use READ_ONCE to force
reading the target variable (hw_break_val).

The CXL driver has its own custom implementations of typed DT property
accessors. Replace the custom property accessor functions with the
common DT property functions.
This clean-up is part of a larger effort to remove of_get_property() and
other DT functions which leak pointers to DT node and property data.

There's little reason to dump DT property values when they can be read
at any time from the DT in /proc/device-tree. If such a feature is
needed, then it really should be implemented in the DT core such that
any module/driver can use it.

Konishi. Fix issues where -ENOENT was being unintentionally and
inappropriately returned to userspace.

The fault-inject.h users across the kernel need to add a lot of #ifdef
CONFIG_FAULT_INJECTION to cater for shortcomings in the header. Make
fault-inject.h self-contained for CONFIG_FAULT_INJECTION=n, and add stubs
for DECLARE_FAULT_ATTR(), setup_fault_attr(), should_fail_ex(), and
should_fail() to allow removal of conditional compilation.

Until this patch was rpmb_dev_register() always freeing rdev in the error
path. However, past device_register() it must not do that since the memory
is now managed by the device even if it failed to register properly. So fix
this by doing a put_device() before returning the error code.

A number of storage technologies support a specialised hardware
partition designed to be resistant to replay attacks. The underlying
HW protocols differ but the operations are common. The RPMB partition
cannot be accessed via standard block layer, but by a set of specific
RPMB commands. Such a partition provides authenticated and replay
protected access, hence suitable as a secure storage.
The initial aim of this patch is to provide a simple RPMB driver
interface which can be accessed by the optee driver to facilitate early
RPMB access to OP-TEE OS (secure OS) during the boot time.
A TEE device driver can claim the RPMB interface, for example, via
rpmb_interface_register() or rpmb_dev_find_device(). The RPMB driver
provides a callback to route RPMB frames to the RPMB device accessible
via rpmb_route_frames().
The detailed operation of implementing the access is left to the TEE
device driver itself.

When removing a resource from vmci_resource_table in
vmci_resource_remove(), the search is performed using the resource
handle by comparing context and resource fields.
It is possible though to create two resources with different types
but same handle (same context and resource fields).
When trying to remove one of the resources, vmci_resource_remove()
may not remove the intended one, but the object will still be freed
as in the case of the datagram type in vmci_datagram_destroy_handle().
vmci_resource_table will still hold a pointer to this freed resource
leading to a use-after-free vulnerability.

In fastrpc_req_mmap() error path, the fastrpc buffer is freed in
fastrpc_req_munmap_impl() if unmap is successful.

When a reference counter is at zero and refcount_sub_and_test() is invoked
to subtract zero, the function accepts this request without any warning and
returns true. This behavior does not seem ideal because the counter being
already at zero indicates a use-after-free. Furthermore, returning true by
refcount_sub_and_test() in this case potentially results in a double-free
done by its caller.
Modify the underlying function __refcount_sub_and_test() to warn about this
case as a use-after-free and have it return false to avoid the potential
double-free.

Currently, the devres-based management of ee1004_bus_data has
several issues when it comes to locking:
1. It does not call mutex_unlock() before returning an error.
2. When encountering an error, it deadlocks when trying to recursively
lock a mutex.
Fix this by moving the mutex-protected bus data initialization into
a separate function so that devm_add_action_or_reset() is called
without the mutex being held.

"Here is the big set of driver core changes for 6.11-rc1.
Lots of stuff in here, with not a huge diffstat, but apis are evolving
which required lots of files to be touched. Highlights of the changes

- platform remove callback api final fixups (Uwe took many releases
to get here, finally!)
- Rust bindings for basic firmware apis and initial driver-core
interactions.
It's not all that useful for a "write a whole driver in rust" type
of thing, but the firmware bindings do help out the phy rust
drivers, and the driver core bindings give a solid base on which
others can start their work.
There is still a long way to go here before we have a multitude of
rust drivers being added, but it's a great first step.
- driver core const api changes.
This reached across all bus types, and there are some fix-ups for
some not-common bus types that linux-next and 0-day testing shook
out.
This work is being done to help make the rust bindings more safe,
as well as the C code, moving toward the end-goal of allowing us to
put driver structures into read-only memory. We aren't there yet,
but are getting closer.

In the match() callback, the struct device_driver * should not be
changed, so change the function callback to be a const *. This is one
step of many towards making the driver core safe to have struct
device_driver in read-only memory.
Because the match() callback is in all busses, all busses are modified
to handle this properly. This does entail switching some container_of()
calls to container_of_const() to properly handle the constant *.
For some busses, like PCI and USB and HV, the const * is cast away in
the match callback as those busses do want to modify those structures at
this point in time (they have a local lock in the driver structure.)
That will have to be changed in the future if they wish to have their
struct device * in read-only-memory.

dma_set_mask_and_coherent() should never fail when the mask is >= 32bit,
unless the architecture has no DMA support. So no need to check for the
error and also no need to set dma_set_mask_and_coherent(32) as a fallback.
Even if dma_set_mask_and_coherent(48) fails due to the lack of DMA support
(theoretically), then dma_set_mask_and_coherent(32) will also fail for the
same reason. So the fallback doesn't make sense.
Simplify the code by setting the streaming and coherent DMA mask to 48
bits.

The current code uses writel()/readl(), which has an implicit memory
barrier for every single readl()/writel().
Additionally, reading 4 bytes at a time over the PCI bus is not really
optimal, considering that this code is running in an ioctl handler.
Use memcpy_toio()/memcpy_fromio() for BAR tests.
Before patch with a 4MB BAR:

After patch with a 4MB BAR:

Rockchip rk3588 requires 64KB alignment for BARs.
While there is an existing device_id:vendor_id in the driver with 64KB
alignment, that device_id:vendor_id is am654, which uses BAR2 instead of
BAR0 as the test_reg_bar, and also has special is_am654_pci_dev() checks
in the driver to disallow BAR0. In order to allow testing all BARs, add a
new rk3588 entry in the driver.
We intentionally do not add the vendor id to pci_ids.h, since the policy
for that file is that the vendor id has to be used by multiple drivers.
Hopefully, this new entry will be short-lived, as there is a series on the
mailing list which intends to move the address alignment restrictions from
this driver to the endpoint side.
Add a new entry for rk3588 in order to allow us to test all BARs.

Pull char / misc and other driver updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the "big" set of char/misc and other driver subsystem changes
for 6.11-rc1. Nothing major in here, just loads of new drivers and
updates. Included in here are:
- IIO api updates and new drivers added
- wait_interruptable_timeout() api cleanups for some drivers
- MODULE_DESCRIPTION() additions for loads of drivers
- parport out-of-bounds fix
- interconnect driver updates and additions
- mhi driver updates and additions
- w1 driver fixes

- coresight driver updates
- counter driver update
- new misc driver additions
- other minor api updates
All of these, EXCEPT for the final Kconfig build fix for 32bit
systems, have been in linux-next for a while with no reported issues.
The Kconfig fixup went in 29 hours ago, so might have missed the
latest linux-next, but was acked by everyone involved"

Upon adding CONFIG_ARCH_THUNDER & CONFIG_COMPILE_TEST dependency,
compilation errors arise on 32-bit ARM with writeq() & readq() calls
which are used for accessing 64-bit values.
Since DPI hardware only works with 64-bit register accesses, using
CONFIG_64BIT dependency to skip compilation on 32-bit systems.

I accidentally added drivers/misc/Makefile.rej when applying the
mrvl-cn10k-dpi by hand. Remove it as it's not needed.

DPI hardware is an on-chip PCIe device on Marvell's arm64 SoC
platforms. As Arnd suggested, CN10K belongs to ARCH_THUNDER
lineage.
Patch makes mrvl_cn10k_dpi driver dependent on CONFIG_ARCH_THUNDER.

Adds a misc driver for Marvell CN10K DPI(DMA Engine) device's physical
function which initializes DPI DMA hardware's global configuration and
enables hardware mailbox channels between physical function (PF) and
it's virtual functions (VF). VF device drivers (User space drivers) use
this hw mailbox to communicate any required device configuration on it's
respective VF device. Accordingly, this DPI PF driver provisions the
VF device resources.
At the hardware level, the DPI physical function (PF) acts as a management
interface to setup the VF device resources, VF devices are only provisioned
to handle or control the actual DMA Engine's data transfer capabilities.
