* mtd: nand: drop edb7312 supportDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2011-09-111-188/+0
| | | | | | | | | EDB7312 isn't supported by mainline kernel, so drop it now. If the board support will ever be submitted to mainline, one can revert this commit. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <Artem.Bityutskiy@nokia.com>
* mtd: edb7312.c: use mtd_device_parse_registerDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2011-09-111-15/+2
| | | | | | | | | Replace custom invocations of parse_mtd_partitions and mtd_device_register with common mtd_device_parse_register call. This would bring: standard handling of all errors, fallback to default partitions, etc. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <Artem.Bityutskiy@nokia.com>
* mtd: edb7312 don't specify default parsing optionsDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2011-09-111-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | Since 'cmdline, NULL' is now a default for parse_mtd_partitions, don't specify this in every driver, instead pass NULL to force parse_mtd_partitions to use default. * mtd: edb7312 nand: convert to mtd_device_register()Jamie Iles2011-05-251-8/+1
| | | | | | | | | Convert to mtd_device_register() and remove the CONFIG_MTD_PARTITIONS preprocessor conditionals as partitioning is always available. * [ARM] Move include/asm-arm/arch-* to arch/arm/*/include/machRussell King2008-08-071-1/+1
| | | | | | This just leaves include/asm-arm/plat-* to deal with. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* MTD/JFFS2: remove CVS keywordsAdrian Bunk2008-06-041-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Once upon a time, the MTD repository was using CVS. This patch therefore removes all usages of the no longer updated CVS keywords from the MTD code. This also includes code that printed them to the user. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>

* [MTD] [NAND] Fix refactoring of EDB7312 hwcontrol function.Roland Stigge2007-08-021-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | The patch ensures that the current code (kernel 2.6.22) uses the bits like the code prior to the refactoring. The variable "bits" is employed in a useful way now. Signed-off-by: Roland Stigge <stigge@antcom.de> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>
* [MTD] Cleanup of 'ioremap balanced with iounmap for drivers/mtd subsystem'Amol Lad2006-10-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Updated version of patch, in response to comments from Francois Romieu <romieu@fr.zoreil.com> Remove gratuitous casts from iounmap and initialisation of variables. Signed-off-by: Amol Lad <amol@verismonetworks.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>
* ioremap balanced with iounmap for drivers/mtd subsystemAmol Lad2006-09-221-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | ioremap must be balanced by an iounmap and failing to do so can result in a memory leak. Tested (compilation only) with: - allmodconfig - Modifying drivers/mtd/maps/Kconfig and drivers/mtd/nand/Kconfig to make sure that the changed file is compiling without warning Signed-off-by: Amol Lad <amol@verismonetworks.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>
* [MTD] NAND modularize write functionThomas Gleixner2006-05-261-3/+0
| | | | | | | | Modularize the write function and reorganaize the internal buffer management. Remove obsolete chip options and fixup all affected users. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>
* [MTD] Refactor NAND hwcontrol to cmd_ctrlThomas Gleixner2006-05-231-24/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | The hwcontrol function enforced a step by step state machine for any kind of hardware chip access. Let the hardware driver know which control bits are set and inform it about a change of the control lines. Let the hardware driver write out the command and address bytes directly. This gives a peformance advantage for address bus controlled chips and simplifies the quirks in the hardware drivers. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>

* [MTD] Fix module refcounting in NAND board drivers.David Woodhouse2006-05-141-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | The _board_ driver needs to be mtd->owner, and it in turn pins the nand.ko module. Fix them all to actually do that, and fix nand.ko not to overwrite it -- and also to check that the caller sets it, if the caller is a module. Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>
* [MTD NAND] Indent all of drivers/mtd/nand/*.c.David Woodhouse2006-05-131-27/+26
| | | | | | It was just too painful to deal with. Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
