* enic: Move the Cisco driverJeff Kirsher2011-08-111-111/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | Move the Cisco driver into drivers/net/ethernet/cisco/ and make the necessary Kconfig and Makefile changes. * enic: Add support to configure hardware interrupt coalesce timers in a ↵Vasanthy Kolluri2011-07-011-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | platform independent way enic driver and the underlying hardware use different units for representing the interrupt coalesce timer. Driver converts the interrupt coalesce timer in usec to hardware cycles while setting the relevant hardware registers. The conversion factor can be different for each of the adapter hardware types. So it is dynamically learnt from the adapter firmware using the devcmd CMD_INTR_COAL_CONVERT. This allows the driver to configure the hardware interrupt coalesce timers in a platform independent way. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 1) Update copyright 2) Fix hardware queue descriptor field size CQ_ENET_RQ_DESC_FCOE_SOF_BITS 3) Include rtnetlink.h instead of if_link.h 4) Selectively flush writes to interrupt mask register 5) Use pci_enable_device_mem 6) Remove unused variables and header files 7) Fix size mismatch between memory alloc and free operations of a variable 8) Check for non null arguments to vic_provinfo_alloc Signed-off-by: Scott Feldman <scofeldm@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Vasanthy Kolluri <vkolluri@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Roopa Prabhu <roprabhu@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: David S. * enic: feature add: add ethtool -c/C supportScott Feldman2009-12-241-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Only rx_usec and tx_usec options for ethtool -C are settable as those are the only settings that make sense to HW. Adds driver reporting of intr coalescing timer value in usec units rather than HW units. * enic: Bug fix: use safe queue shutdown in dev->stopScott Feldman2009-12-241-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fix dev->stop shutdown bug where driver was stopping xmit queue and then disabling intrs. Fix is to disable intrs first and then stop the xmit queue, otherwise an interrupt could cause the queue to be rewoken. Also, no need to explicitly do queue servicing because queues are cleaned and reset back to initial state at end of dev->stop. Servicing queues also had the side-effect of also rewakening the xmit queue, which is not what we want. * enic: bug fix: return notify intr creditsScott Feldman2009-02-101-0/+14
| | | | | | | | | | Return notify intr credits after notify intr from firmware. This is especially important for legacy PCI intr mode, where not returning credits would cause PBA to remain asserted which would get us right back into the ISR.
