* b43legacy: move under broadcom vendor directoryKalle Valo2015-11-181-104/+0
| | | | | | Part of reorganising wireless drivers directory and Kconfig. Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
* wireless: remove WLAN_80211 and WLAN_PRE80211 from KconfigJohn W. Linville2009-10-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | With the WLAN_PRE80211 drivers moved to drivers/staging, this distinction becomes unnecessary. Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* b43/legacy: port to cfg80211 rfkillJohannes Berg2009-06-101-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | This ports the b43/legacy rfkill code to the new API offered by cfg80211 and thus removes a lot of useless stuff. * rfkill: rewriteJohannes Berg2009-06-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch completely rewrites the rfkill core to address the following deficiencies: * all rfkill drivers need to implement polling where necessary rather than having one central implementation * updating the rfkill state cannot be done from arbitrary contexts, forcing drivers to use schedule_work and requiring lots of code * rfkill drivers need to keep track of soft/hard blocked internally -- the core should do this * the rfkill API has many unexpected quirks, for example being asymmetric wrt. alloc/free and register/unregister * rfkill can call back into a driver from within a function the driver called -- this is prone to deadlocks and generally should be avoided * rfkill-input pointlessly is a separate module * drivers need to #ifdef rfkill functions (unless they want to depend on or select RFKILL) -- rfkill should provide inlines that do nothing if it isn't compiled in * the rfkill structure is not opaque -- drivers need to initialise it correctly (lots of sanity checking code required) -- instead force drivers to pass the right variables to rfkill_alloc() * the documentation is hard to read because it always assumes the reader is completely clueless and contains way TOO MANY CAPS * the rfkill code needlessly uses a lot of locks and atomic operations in locked sections * fix LED trigger to actually change the LED when the radio state changes -- this wasn't done before Tested-by: Alan Jenkins <alan-jenkins@tuffmail.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Henrique de Moraes Holschuh <hmh@hmh.eng.br> [thinkpad] Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes@sipsolutions.net> Signed-off-by: John W. * b43legacy: Do not select HW_RANDOMLarry Finger2009-04-221-1/+7
| | | | | | | | Auto-depend on HW_RANDOM, rather than "select"ing it. This way the user has the choice to enable or disable HWRNG support. Signed-off-by: Larry Finger <Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* missing dependencies on HAS_DMAAl Viro2008-05-221-1/+1

* Use a separate config option for the b43 pci to ssb bridge.Alexey Zaytsev2008-02-281-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The bridge code was unnecessary enabled by the b44 driver, but it prevents the bcm43xx driver from being loaded, as the bridge claims the same pci ids. Now we enable the birdge only if the b43{legacy} drivers are selected. * b43legacy: fix kconfig dependecies for rfkill and ledsStefano Brivio2008-01-291-2/+6
| | | | | | | | | | Fix dependencies for built-in b43legacy. The patch to b43 by Michael Buesch <mb@bu3sch.de> has been ported to b43legacy. Signed-off-by: Stefano Brivio <stefano.brivio@polimi.it> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* b43legacy: Use input-polldev for the rfkill switchLarry Finger2008-01-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This removes the direct call to rfkill on an rfkill event and replaces it with an input device. This way userspace is also notified about the event. This patch is the port to b43legacy of a patch for b43 by Michael Buesch <mb@bu3sch.de>. Signed-off-by: Larry Finger <Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* b43legacy: RF-kill supportLarry Finger2008-01-291-1/+7
| | | | | | | | | | This adds full support for the RFKILL button and the RFKILL LED trigger. This is a port to b43legacy of a patch by Michael Buesch <mb@bu3sch.de> for b43. Signed-off-by: Larry Finger<Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* b43legacy: LED triggers supportLarry Finger2008-01-291-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | Drive the LEDs through the generic LED triggers. The patch to b43 by Michael Buesch <mb@bu3sch.de> has been ported to b43legacy. Signed-off-by: Larry Finger <larry.finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
