Any attempt to provide a const mac address to wilc_set_mac_address results
in the following warning:
warning: passing argument 2 of 'wilc_set_mac_address' discards 'const'
qualifier from pointer target type [-Wdiscarded-qualifiers]

int wilc_set_mac_address(struct wilc_vif *vif, u8 *mac_addr);
Instead of using an explicit cast each time we need provide a MAC address,
set the function parameter as const

Simplify 'wilc_scan()' assuming 'struct wilc_priv *' is the only data
passed to '(*scan_result)()' callback and thus avoid typeless 'void *'
pointers in related code, including 'struct wilc_user_scan_req'.
Compile tested only.

Remove set but otherwise unused 'ch' member of 'struct wilc_conn_info'
and avoid typeless 'void *' pointers in '(*conn_result)()' callback.
Likewise for 'wilc_parse_join_bss_param()'. Compile tested only.

For 'struct wilc_remain_ch', drop set but otherwise unused 'duration'
field and adjust 'expired' callback assuming that the only data passed
to it is 'struct wilc_vif *', thus making 'wilc_remain_on_channel()'
a bit simpler as well. Compile tested only.

In recent access points, information element is longer as they include
additional data which exceeds 256 bytes. To accommodate longer

Cancel the ongoing connection request to avoid any issue if the
interface is set down before the connection request is completed.
host_int_handle_disconnect was already available, so renamed it and used
the same API for 'ndio_close' cb.

driver to pass the auth frames which are received from firmware to
userspace application(hostapd) so that SAE authentication is offloaded to

WILC1000 is an IEEE 802.11 b/g/n IoT link controller module. The
WILC1000 connects to Microchip AVR/SMART MCUs, SMART MPUs, and other
processors with minimal resource requirements with a simple
SPI/SDIO-to-Wi-Fi interface.
WILC1000 driver has been part of staging for few years. With
contributions from the community, it has improved significantly. Full
driver review has helped in achieving the current state.
The details for those reviews are captured in 1 & 2.
