* regulator: sy8824x: Make similar OF and ID tableBiju Das2023-09-111-19/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Make similar OF and ID table to extend support for ID match using i2c_match_data(). Currently it works only for OF match tables as the driver_data is wrong for ID match. While at it, drop trailing comma in the terminator entry from ID table. * regulator: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring2023-07-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. * regulator: Switch i2c drivers back to use .probe()Uwe Kleine-König2023-05-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new() call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from struct i2c_driver. * regulator: Set PROBE_PREFER_ASYNCHRONOUS for drivers between 4.19 and 5.4Douglas Anderson2023-03-201-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This follows on the change ("regulator: Set PROBE_PREFER_ASYNCHRONOUS for drivers that existed in 4.14") but changes regulators didn't exist in Linux 4.19 but did exist in Linux 5.4. * regulator: Drop obsolete dependencies on COMPILE_TESTJean Delvare2022-11-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit 0166dc11be91 ("of: make CONFIG_OF user selectable"), it is possible to test-build any driver which depends on OF on any architecture by explicitly selecting OF. Therefore depending on COMPILE_TEST as an alternative is no longer needed. It is actually better to always build such drivers with OF enabled, so that the test builds are closer to how each driver will actually be built on its intended target. Building them without OF may not test much as the compiler will optimize out potentially large parts of the code. In the worst case, this could even pop false positive warnings. Dropping COMPILE_TEST here improves the quality of our testing and avoids wasting time on non-existent issues. As a minor optimization, this also lets us drop several occurrences of of_match_ptr(), __maybe_unused and some ifdef guarding, as we now know what all of this will resolve to, we might as well save cpp some work. * regulator: sy8824x: Enable REGCACHE_FLATJisheng Zhang2021-08-031-1/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | Enable regmap cache to reduce i2c transactions and corresponding interrupts if regulator is accessed frequently. Since the register map is small -- there's only one register in sy8824c and sy8824e, there are only two registers in sy20276 and sy20278, so we use a FLAT regmap cache. * regulator: Convert i2c drivers to use .probe_newAxel Lin2020-01-131-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Use the new .probe_new for i2c drivers. These drivers do not use const struct i2c_device_id * argument, so convert them to utilise the simplified i2c driver registration.
