* rtc: ds1374, fix lock imbalanceJiri Slaby2009-07-061-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | When i2c_smbus_read_byte_data fails in ds1374_work, we forgot to unlock the held lock. Fix that. * rtc: make rtc_update_irq callable with irqs enabledAtsushi Nemoto2009-06-201-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The rtc_update_irq() might be called with irqs enabled, if a interrupt handler was registered without IRQF_DISABLED. Use spin_lock_irqsave/spin_unlock_irqrestore instead of spin_lock/spin_unlock. Also update kerneldoc and drivers which do extra work to follow the current interface spec, as suggestted by David Brownell. * rtc: rtc-ds1374: fix 'no irq' case handlingAnton Vorontsov2008-08-211-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On a PowerPC board with ds1374 RTC I'm getting this error while RTC tries to probe: rtc-ds1374 0-0068: unable to request IRQ This happens because I2C probing code (drivers/of/of_i2c.c) is specifying IRQ0 for 'no irq' case, which is correct. The driver handles this incorrectly, though. This patch fixes it. * rtc-ds1374: rename device to just "ds1374"Jean Delvare2008-06-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change the name of the device from "rtc-ds1374" to just "ds1374", to match what all other RTC drivers do. I seem to remember that this name was chosen to avoid possible confusion with an older ds1374 driver, but that driver was removed 3 months ago. * i2c: Convert most new-style drivers to use module aliasingJean Delvare2008-04-291-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Based on earlier work by Jon Smirl and Jochen Friedrich. Update most new-style i2c drivers to use standard module aliasing instead of the old driver_name/type driver matching scheme. I've left the video drivers apart (except for SoC camera drivers) as they're a bit more diffcult to deal with, they'll have their own patch later. * i2c: Add support for device alias namesJean Delvare2008-04-291-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Based on earlier work by Jon Smirl and Jochen Friedrich. This patch allows new-style i2c chip drivers to have alias names using the official kernel aliasing system and MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE(). At this point, the old i2c driver binding scheme (driver_name/type) is still supported. * rtc: RTC class driver for the ds1374Scott Wood2007-10-161-0/+449
This patch adds an RTC class driver for the Maxim/Dallas 1374 RTC chip, based on drivers/i2c/chips/ds1374.c. It supports alarm functionality.
