* [S390] Convert memory detection into C code.Heiko Carstens2007-02-051-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Hopefully this will make it more maintainable and less error prone. Code makes use of search_exception_tables(). Since it calls this function before the kernel exeception table is sorted, there is an early call to sort_main_extable(). This way it's easy to use the already present infrastructure of fixup sections. Also this would allows to easily convert the rest of head[31|64].S into C code. * [S390] Linux API for writing z/VM APPLDATA Monitor records.Melissa Howland2006-09-201-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | This patch delivers a new Linux API in the form of a misc char device that is useable from user space and allows write access to the z/VM APPLDATA Monitor Records collected by the *MONITOR System Service of z/VM. * [S390] zcrypt driver Makefile, Kconfig and monolithic build.Martin Schwidefsky2006-09-201-0/+21
| | | | | | | | | The Makefile and Kconfig changes should be obvious. The monolithic build option is there to create an old-style z90crypt module for backward compatability to older distributions. * [S390] remove old z90crypt driver.Martin Schwidefsky2006-09-201-9/+0
| | | | | | | The z90crypt driver has served its term. It is replaced by the shiny new zcrypt device driver. Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>

* [PATCH] s390: hangcheck timer supportJan Glauber2006-02-011-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove useless s390 define from hangcheck-timer, remove wrong definition of a TOD second and other s390 ifdefs. Use monotonic_clock instead. Add hangcheck-timer option, copied from drivers/char/Kconfig. This is ugly but unless we have a big Kconfig cleanup we cannot include drivers/char/Kconfig... Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
