* scsi: Do not set cmd_per_lun to 1 in the host templateHannes Reinecke2015-06-011-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | '0' is now used as the default cmd_per_lun value, so there's no need to explicitly set it to '1' in the host template. Signed-off-by: Hannes Reinecke <hare@suse.de> Reviewed-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <JBottomley@Odin.com>
* qlogicfas: don't call free_dma()Arnd Bergmann2014-07-251-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The qlogicfas scsi driver does not use DMA, and the call to free_dma() in its exit function seems to have been copied incorrectly from another driver but never caused trouble. One case where it gets in the way is randconfig builds on ARM, which depending on the configuration does not provide a free_dma() function, causing this build error: drivers/scsi/qlogicfas.c: In function 'qlogicfas_release': drivers/scsi/qlogicfas.c:175:3: error: implicit declaration of function 'free_dma' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration] free_dma(shost->dma_channel); ^ Removing the incorrect function calls should be the obvious fix for this, with no downsides. * Drivers: scsi: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. * [SCSI] remove use_sg_chainingJames Bottomley2008-01-301-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | With the sg table code, every SCSI driver is now either chain capable or broken (or has sg_tablesize set so chaining is never activated), so there's no need to have a check in the host template. Also tidy up the code by moving the scatterlist size defines into the SCSI includes and permit the last entry of the scatterlist pools not to be a power of two. * [SCSI] add use_sg_chaining option to scsi_host_templateFUJITA Tomonori2007-10-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This option is true if a low-level driver can support sg chaining. This will be removed eventually when all the drivers are converted to support sg chaining. q->max_phys_segments is set to SCSI_MAX_SG_SEGMENTS if false. * [SCSI] qlogicfas: Close narrow race in releaseMatthew Wilcox2007-10-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | We were releasing the IRQ before removing the host, so commands could still be coming in which would never be seen by the interrupt handler. Just remove the host before releasing the IRQ to close this race. Signed-off-by: Matthew Wilcox <matthew@wil.cx> Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

* [SCSI] Remove no-op implementations of SCSI EH hooksJeff Garzik2005-06-171-2/+0
| | | | | | | Drivers need not implement a hook that returns FAILED, and does nothing else, since the SCSI midlayer code will do that for us. Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
