* spi: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang2014-10-201-1/+0
| | | | | | | A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
* spi/spi-sh: Use devm_ioremapHimangi Saraogi2014-07-071-9/+6
| | | | | | | | | | This patch introduces the use of devm_ioremap and removes the iounmaps in the probe and remove functions. Also, the labels are renamed to preserve ordering. * spi: Always check complete callback before calling itAxel Lin2014-04-031-2/+4
| | | | | | | | Since commit 1e25cd4729bd "spi: Do not require a completion", this checking is required to prevent NULL pointer dereference. Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@ingics.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>

| |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | We have a spi_sh_clear_bit() function, there's no reason not to use it. Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@ingics.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
* / spi: Remove duplicate code to set default bits_per_word settingAxel Lin2014-01-171-3/+0
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | The implementation in spi_setup() already set spi->bits_per_word = 8 when spi->bits_per_word is 0 before calling spi->master->setup. So we don't need to do it again in setup() callback. * spi: use platform_{get,set}_drvdata()Jingoo Han2013-05-231-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using platform_device instead of using dev_{get,set}_drvdata() with &pdev->dev, so we can directly pass a struct platform_device. * spi: Remove HOTPLUG section attributesGrant Likely2012-12-071-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. Bill Pemberton has done most of the legwork on this series. I've used his script to purge the attributes from the drivers/gpio tree. Reported-by: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@virginia.edu> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* spi/spi-sh: add IORESOURCE_MEM_TYPE_MASK decoding for access sizeShimoda, Yoshihiro2012-03-081-2/+23
| | | | | | | | | This SPI controller's access size is 32, or 8-bit. The previous driver supported 32-bit only. So, this patch adds IORESOURCE_MEM_TYPE_MASK decoding, an then, the driver can handle the SPI controller of 8-bit. * drivercore: Add helper macro for platform_driver boilerplateGrant Likely2011-10-251-12/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | For simple modules that contain a single platform_driver without any additional setup code then ends up being a block of duplicated boilerplate. This patch adds a new macro, module_platform_driver(), which replaces the module_init()/module_exit() registrations with template functions. * spi: irq: Remove IRQF_DISABLEDYong Zhang2011-10-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit [e58aa3d2: genirq: Run irq handlers with interrupts disabled], We run all interrupt handlers with interrupts disabled and we even check and yell when an interrupt handler returns with interrupts enabled (see commit [b738a50a: genirq: Warn when handler enables interrupts]). So now this flag is a NOOP and can be removed. Signed-off-by: Yong Zhang <yong.zhang0@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* spi: reorganize driversGrant Likely2011-06-061-0/+543
Sort the SPI makefile and enforce the naming convention spi_*.c for spi drivers. This change also rolls the contents of atmel_spi.h into the .c file since there is only one user of that particular include file. v2: - Use 'spi-' prefix instead of 'spi_' to match what seems to be be the predominant pattern for subsystem prefixes. - Clean up filenames in Kconfig and header comment blocks Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Acked-by: Wolfram Sang <w.sang@pengutronix.de> Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
