* video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen2014-04-171-1333/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch. | | | | | | | | | The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure. Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com>

* Drivers: video: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-041-8/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. * Resurrect Intel740 driver: i740fbOndrej Zary2012-02-151-0/+1337
This is a resurrection of an old (like 2.4.19) out-of-tree driver for Intel740 graphics cards and adaptation for recent kernels. The old driver by Andrey Ulanov is located at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/i740fbdev/files/ This is a new driver based on skeletonfb, using most of the low level HW code from the old driver. The DDC code is completely new. The driver was tested on two 8MB cards: Protac AG240D and Diamond Stealth II G460.
