* [PATCH] tdfxfb: Fix buffer overrunAntonino A. Daplas2006-03-111-19/+23
| | | | | | | | | | | The pseudo_palette has room only for 16 entries, but tdfxfb_setcolreg may attempt to write more. Coverity Bug 557 Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@pol.net> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] drivers/video/: possible cleanupsAdrian Bunk2006-01-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch contains the possible cleanups including the following: - every file should #include the headers containing the prototypes for it's global functions - make needlessly global functions static - kyro/STG4000Interface.h: #include video/kyro.h and linux/pci.h instead of a manual "struct pci_dev" - i810_main.{c,h}: prototypes for static functions belong to the C file Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Acked-by: "Antonino A. * [PATCH] fbdev: tdfxfb: Driver cleanupsAntonino A. Daplas2006-01-101-26/+31
| | | | | | | | | | - remove unneeded casts - move memory for pseudo_palette inside struct tdfxfb_par - whitespace changes Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@pol.net> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] fbcon/fbdev: Move softcursor out of fbdev to fbconAntonino A. Daplas2005-11-071-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | According to Jon Smirl, filling in the field fb_cursor with soft_cursor for drivers that do not support hardware cursors is redundant. The soft_cursor function is usable by all drivers because it is just a wrapper around fb_imageblit. And because soft_cursor is an fbcon-specific hook, the file is moved to the console directory. Thus, drivers that do not support hardware cursors can leave the fb_cursor field blank. For drivers that do, they can fill up this field with their own version. The end result is a smaller code size. And if the framebuffer console is not loaded, module/kernel size is also reduced because the soft_cursor module will also not be loaded. * [PATCH] Clean-up and bug fix for tdfxfb framebuffer size detectionRichard Drummond2005-05-011-23/+22
| | | | | | | | | | | | Attached is a patch against 2.6.11.7 which tidies up the tdfxfb framebuffer size detection code a little and fixes the broken support for Voodoo4/5 cards. (I haven't tested this on a Voodoo5, however, because I don't have the hardware). * [PATCH] Better PLL frequency matching for tdfxfb driverRichard Drummond2005-05-011-12/+31
| | | | | | | | | | | | Improve the PLL frequency matching in the tdfxfb driver. Instead of requiring 64260 iterations to obtain the closest supported PLL frequency, this code does it with the same degree of accuracy in at most 768 iterations. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
