* video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen2014-04-171-1048/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch. * video: tmiofb: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han2013-09-201-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. This is a cosmetic change to make the code simpler and enhance the readability. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com>
* video: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han2013-06-261-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound). Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. * Drivers: video: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-041-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. * video: irq: Remove IRQF_DISABLEDYong Zhang2011-10-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit [e58aa3d2: genirq: Run irq handlers with interrupts disabled], We run all interrupt handlers with interrupts disabled and we even check and yell when an interrupt handler returns with interrupts enabled (see commit [b738a50a: genirq: Warn when handler enables interrupts]). So now this flag is a NOOP and can be removed. * fb: Use platform_data to retrieve tmiofb platform bitsSamuel Ortiz2011-05-261-7/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | With the addition of the platform device mfd_cell pointer, we can now cleanly pass the sub device drivers platform data pointers through the regular device platform_data one, and get rid of mfd_get_data(). * fb: Use mfd_data instead of driver_data for tmio-fbAndres Salomon2011-03-231-8/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | Use mfd_data for passing information from mfd drivers to mfd clients. The mfd_cell's driver_data field is being phased out. Clients that were using driver_data now access .mfd_data via mfd_get_data(). This changes tmio-fb only; mfd drivers with other cells are not modified. | | | | | | | | | | No need to explicitly set the cell's platform_data/data_size. Modify clients to use mfd_get_cell helper function instead of accessing platform_data directly. Signed-off-by: Andres Salomon <dilinger@queued.net> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
* console: rename acquire/release_console_sem() to console_lock/unlock()Torben Hohn2011-01-261-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The -rt patches change the console_semaphore to console_mutex. As a result, a quite large chunk of the patches changes all acquire/release_console_sem() to acquire/release_console_mutex() This commit makes things use more neutral function names which dont make implications about the underlying lock. The only real change is the return value of console_trylock which is inverted from try_acquire_console_sem() This patch also paves the way to switching console_sem from a semaphore to a mutex.
