* [ARM] Move asm/hardware/clock.h to linux/clk.hRussell King2006-01-071-1/+2
| | | | | | | This is needs to be visible to other architectures using the AMBA bus and peripherals. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Remove definition of MAX_DMA_CHANNELS to zeroRussell King2006-01-041-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | Since we now only build arch/arm/kernel/dma.c on machine types which set ISA_DMA_API, we don't need to define MAX_DMA_CHANNELS to 0 to indicate this - this definition becomes superfluous. Remove it. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Move common definition of MAX_DMA_ADDRESS to asm/dma.hRussell King2006-01-041-1/+0

* [ARM] Cleanup ARM includesRussell King2006-01-031-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | arch/arm/kernel/entry-armv.S has contained a comment suggesting that asm/hardware.h and asm/arch/irqs.h should be moved into the asm/arch/entry-macro.S include. So move the includes to these two files as required. Add missing includes (asm/hardware.h, asm/io.h) to asm/arch/system.h includes which use those facilities, and remove asm/io.h from kernel/process.c. Remove other unnecessary includes from arch/arm/kernel, arch/arm/mm and arch/arm/mach-footbridge. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Include asm/hardware.h instead of asm/arch/hardware.hRussell King2005-11-164-4/+4
| | | | | | Rationalise hardware.h include. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3144/1: OMAP 5/5: Update omap H2 defconfigTony Lindgren2005-11-101-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | Patch from Tony Lindgren This patch updates omap H2 defconfig. Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3143/1: OMAP 4/5: Update omap include filesTony Lindgren2005-11-1024-360/+1370
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Tony Lindgren This patch syncs the mainline kernel with linux-omap tree. This patch contains changes to common header files for omap1xxx and omap24xx by various omap developers, and improved cpu detection by Imre Deak Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3060/1: allow constants found in asm/memory.h to be used in asm codeNicolas Pitre2005-10-291-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Nicolas Pitre This patch allows for assorted type of cleanups by letting assembly code use the same set of defines for constant values and avoid duplicated definitions that might not always be in sync, or that might simply be confusing due to the different names for the same thing. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@cam.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 1/4: Move include of asm/hardware.h to asm-arm/arch-*/io.hRussell King2005-10-281-0/+2
| | | | | | | Including asm/hardware.h into asm/io.h can cause #define clashes between platform specific definitions and driver local definitions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Remove PFN_TO_NID for !DISCONTIGMEMRussell King2005-09-151-1/+0
| | | | | | | Platform classes need not define PFN_TO_NID when DISCONTIGMEM is not selected. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 2888/1: OMAP 3/4: Update omap include files, take 2Tony Lindgren2005-09-0726-238/+767
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Tony Lindgren This patch syncs the mainline kernel with linux-omap tree. The highlights of the patch are: - Start adding 24xx support by Paul Mundt - Clean-up of cpu detection by Dirk Behme and Tony Lindgren - Add DSP header by Toshihiro Kobayashi - Add support for mtd-xip by Vladimir Barinov - Add various new mux registers - Move OMAP specific serial defines back to serial.h Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

* [PATCH] USB: more omap_udc updates (dma and omap1710)David Brownell2005-06-271-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | More omap_udc updates: * OMAP 1710 updates - new UDC bit for clearing endpoint toggle, affecting CLEAR_HALT - new OTG bits affecting wakeup * Fix the bug Vladimir noted, that IN-DMA transfer code path kicks in for under 1024 bytes (not "up to 1024 bytes") * Handle transceiver setup more intelligently - use transceiver whenever one's available; this can be handy for GPIO based, loopback, or transceiverless configs - cleanup correctly after the "unrecognized HMC" case * DMA performance tweaks - allow burst/pack for memory access - use 16 bit DMA access most of the time on TIPB * Add workarounds for some DMA errata (not observed "in the wild"): - DMA CSAC/CDAC reads returning zero - RX/TX DMA config registers bit 12 always reads as zero (TI patch) * More "sparse" warnings removed, notably "changing" the SETUP packet to return data in USB byteorder (an API change, null effect on OMAP except for these warnings). * [PATCH] I2C: add i2c driver for TPS6501xDavid Brownell2005-06-221-0/+76
| | | | | | | | | This adds an I2C driver for the TPS6501x series of power management chips. It's used on many OMAP based boards, and this driver has been widely used in the Linux-OMAP trees over the last year or so. * [PATCH] ARM: cleanup vmalloc start/offset macrosRussell King2005-05-031-12/+0
| | | | | | | | VMALLOC_START and VMALLOC_OFFSET are common between all ARM machine classes. Move them into include/asm-arm/pgtable.h, but allow a machine class to override them if required. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>
* Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2005-04-1734-0/+4027
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
