Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Arnd Bergmann:
"These cleanup patches are mainly move stuff around and should all be
harmless. They are mainly split out so that other branches can be
based on top to avoid conflicts.
Notable changes are:
- We finally remove all mach/timex.h, after CLOCK_TICK_RATE is no
longer used (Uwe Kleine-König)
- The Qualcomm MSM platform is split out into legacy mach-msm and
new-style mach-qcom, to allow easier maintainance of the new
hardware support without regressions (Kumar Gala)
- A rework of some of the Kconfig logic to simplify multiplatform
support (Rob Herring)
- Samsung Exynos gets closer to supporting multiplatform (Sachin
Kamat and others)
- mach-bcm3528 gets merged into mach-bcm (Stephen Warren)
- at91 gains some common clock framework support (Alexandre Belloni,
Jean-Jacques Hiblot and other French people)"

next/cleanup
This cleanup series gets rid of <mach/timex.h> for platforms not using
ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM. (For multi-platform code it's already unused since
387798b (ARM: initial multiplatform support).)
To make this work some code out of arch/arm needed to be adapted. The
respective changes got acks by their maintainers to be taken via armsoc
(with Andrew Morton substituting for Alessandro Zummo as rtc maintainer).
Compared to the previous pull request there was another patch added that
fixes a (non-critical) regression on ixp4xx. Olof Johansson asked to not
squash this fix into the original commit to save him from the need to
reverify the series.

This passes the errata fix using a GPIO to control the RTS pin
on one of the AT91 chips to use gpiolib instead of the
AT91-specific interfaces. Also remove the reliance on
compile-time #defines and the cpu_* check and rely on the
platform passing down the proper GPIO pin through platform
data.
This is a prerequisite for getting rid of the local GPIO
implementation in the AT91 platform and move toward
multiplatform.
The patch also adds device tree support for getting the
RTS GPIO pin from the device tree on DT boot paths.

The functions declared in include/linux/pxa2xx_ssp.h are
defined in plat-pxa/ssp.c, which can also be built for
PLAT_MMP, but may be disabled there. This can lead to
both unresolved symbols at link time and to duplicate
symbols at compile time for random configurations.
Changing the #ifdef in the header file to match the
Kconfig symbol that decides if the file is built solves
both problems.

Pull ARM changes from Russell King:
- Perf updates from Will Deacon:
- Support for Qualcomm Krait processors (run perf on your phone!)
- Support for Cortex-A12 (run perf stat on your FPGA!)
- Support for perf_sample_event_took, allowing us to automatically decrease
the sample rate if we can't handle the PMU interrupts quickly enough
(run perf record on your FPGA!).
- Basic uprobes support from David Long:
This patch series adds basic uprobes support to ARM. It is based on
patches developed earlier by Rabin Vincent. That approach of adding
hooks into the kprobes instruction parsing code was not well received.
This approach separates the ARM instruction parsing code in kprobes out
into a separate set of functions which can be used by both kprobes and
uprobes. Both kprobes and uprobes then provide their own semantic action
tables to process the results of the parsing.
- ARMv7M (microcontroller) updates from Uwe Kleine-König
- OMAP DMA updates (recently added Vinod's Ack even though they've been
sitting in linux-next for a few months) to reduce the reliance of
omap-dma on the code in arch/arm.
- SA11x0 changes from Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov and Alexander Shiyan
- Support for Cortex-A12 CPU
- Align support for ARMv6 with ARMv7 so they can cooperate better in a
single zImage.
- Addition of first AT_HWCAP2 feature bits for ARMv8 crypto support.
- Removal of IRQ_DISABLED from various ARM files
- Improved efficiency of virt_to_page() for single zImage
- Patch from Ulf Hansson to permit runtime PM callbacks to be available for
AMBA devices for suspend/resume as well.
- Finally kill asm/system.h on ARM.

Export the DMA register information from the SoC specific data, such
that we can access the registers directly in omap-dma.c, mapping the
register region ourselves as well.
Rather than calculating the DMA channel register in its entirety for
each access, we pre-calculate an offset base address for the allocated
DMA channel and then just use the appropriate register offset.

omapdss has its own video-timings struct, but we want to move the common
videomode.
The first step is to change the omapdss's pixelclock unit from kHz to
Hz. Also, omapdss uses "pixel_clock" field name, whereas the common
videomode uses "pixelclock" field name. This patch changes the field
name also, as that makes it easy to spot any non-converted pixel_clock
uses.

This patch removes these fields and as a result optimizes private

Upcoming Intel silicon adds a new RDSEED instruction, which is similar
to RDRAND but provides a stronger guarantee: unlike RDRAND, RDSEED
will always reseed the PRNG from the true random number source between
each read. Thus, the output of RDSEED is guaranteed to be 100%
entropic, unlike RDRAND which is only architecturally guaranteed to be
1/512 entropic (although in practice is much more.)
The RDSEED instruction takes the same time to execute as RDRAND, but
RDSEED unlike RDRAND can legitimately return failure (CF=0) due to
entropy exhaustion if too many threads on too many cores are hammering
the RDSEED instruction at the same time. Therefore, we have to be
more conservative and only use it in places where we can tolerate
failures.
This patch introduces the primitives arch_get_random_seed_{int,long}()
but does not use it yet.

Introduce new FALLOC_FL_ZERO_RANGE flag for fallocate. This has the same
functionality as xfs ioctl XFS_IOC_ZERO_RANGE.
It can be used to convert a range of file to zeros preferably without
issuing data IO. Blocks should be preallocated for the regions that span
holes in the file, and the entire range is preferable converted to
unwritten extents - even though file system may choose to zero out the
extent or do whatever which will result in reading zeros from the range
while the range remains allocated for the file.
This can be also used to preallocate blocks past EOF in the same way as
with fallocate. Flag FALLOC_FL_KEEP_SIZE which should cause the inode
size to remain the same.

This patch is in response of the following post:
http://lwn.net/Articles/556136/
"ext4: introduce two new ioctls"
Dave chinner suggested that truncate_block_range
(which was one of the ioctls name) should be a fallocate operation
and not any fs specific ioctl, hence we add this functionality to new flags of fallocate.
This new functionality of collapsing range could be used by media editing tools
which does non linear editing to quickly purge and edit parts of a media file.
This will immensely improve the performance of these operations.
The limitation of fs block size aligned offsets can be easily handled
by media codecs which are encapsulated in a conatiner as they have to
just change the offset to next keyframe value to match the proper alignment.

This patch implements fallocate's FALLOC_FL_COLLAPSE_RANGE for Ext4.
The semantics of this flag are following:
1) It collapses the range lying between offset and length by removing any data
blocks which are present in this range and than updates all the logical
offsets of extents beyond "offset + len" to nullify the hole created by
removing blocks. In short, it does not leave a hole.
2) It should be used exclusively. No other fallocate flag in combination.
3) Offset and length supplied to fallocate should be fs block size aligned
in case of xfs and ext4.
4) Collaspe range does not work beyond i_size.

In order to allow a future ioctl parameter, such as a creation flag,
we change the UBI_IOCVOLCRBLK so it accepts a struct ubi_blkcreate_req.
For the time being the structure is not in use, but fully reserved.
This ABI change is still possible and harmless, because the ioctl has just
been introduced and there's no userspace program which uses it.

This commit introduces read-only block device emulation on top of UBI volumes.
Given UBI takes care of wear leveling and bad block management it's possible
to add a thin layer to enable block device access to UBI volumes.
This allows to use a block-oriented filesystem on a flash device.
The UBI block devices are meant to be used in conjunction with any
regular, block-oriented file system (e.g. ext4), although it's primarily
targeted at read-only file systems, such as squashfs.
Block devices are created upon user request through new ioctls:
UBI_IOCVOLATTBLK to attach and UBI_IOCVOLDETBLK to detach.
Also, a new UBI module parameter is added 'ubi.block'. This parameter is
needed in order to attach a block device on boot-up time, allowing to
mount the rootfs on a ubiblock device.
For instance, you could have these kernel parameters:
ubi.mtd=5 ubi.block=0,0 root=/dev/ubiblock0_0
Or, if you compile ubi as a module:
$ modprobe ubi mtd=/dev/mtd5 block=/dev/ubi0_0

Introduce a bit kernel and userspace exchange between each-other on
the init stage and turn writeback on if the userspace want this and
mount option 'allow_wbcache' is present (controlled by fusermount).
Also add each writable file into per-inode write list and call the
generic_file_aio_write to make use of the Linux page cache engine.

Since most of the btrfs_workqueue is printed as pointer address,
for easier analysis, add trace for btrfs_workqueue alloc/destroy.
So it is possible to determine the workqueue that a given work belongs
to(by comparing the wq pointer address with alloc trace event).

"One of the main highlights this time, is not the patches themselves
but instead the widening contributor base. It is good to see that
interest is increasing in GFS2, and I'd like to thank all the
contributors to this patch set.
In addition to the usual set of bug fixes and clean ups, there are
patches to improve inode creation performance when xattrs are required
and some improvements to the transaction code which is intended to
help improve scalability after further changes in due course.
Journal extent mapping is also updated to make it more efficient and
again, this is a foundation for future work in this area.
The maximum number of ACLs has been increased to 300 (for a 4k block
size) which means that even with a few additional xattrs from selinux,
everything should fit within a single fs block.
There is also a patch to bring GFS2's own copy of the writepages code
up to the same level as the core VFS. Eventually we may be able to
merge some of this code, since it is fairly similar.
The other major change this time, is bringing consistency to the
printing of messages via fs_<level>, pr_<level> macros"

The intent of this new field in the directory entry is to
allow a subsequent lookup to know how many blocks, which
are contiguous with the inode, contain metadata which relates
to the inode. This will then allow the issuing of a single
read to read these blocks, rather than reading the inode
first, and then issuing a second read for the metadata.
This only works under some fairly strict conditions, since
we do not have back pointers from inodes to directory entries
we must ensure that the blocks referenced in this way will
always belong to the inode.
This rules out being able to use this system for indirect
blocks, as these can change as a result of truncate/rewrite.
So the idea here is to restrict this to xattr blocks only
for the time being. For most inodes, that means only a
single block. Also, when using ACLs and/or SELinux or
other LSMs, these will be added at inode creation time
so that they will be contiguous with the inode on disk and
also will almost always be needed when we read the inode in
for permissions checks.
Once an xattr block for an inode is allocated, it will never
change until the inode is deallocated.
This patch adds the new field, a further patch will add the
readahead in due course.

GFS2 has carried what is more or less a copy of the
write_cache_pages() for some time. It seems that this
copy has slipped behind the core code over time. This
patch brings it back uptodate, and in addition adds the
tracepoint which would otherwise be missing.
We could go further, and eliminate some or all of the
code duplication here. The issue is that if we do that,
then the function we need to split out from the existing
write_cache_pages(), which will look a lot like
gfs2_jdata_write_pagevec(), would land up putting quite a
lot of extra variables on the stack. I know that has been
a problem in the past in the writeback code path, which
is why I've hesitated to do it here.
