* net: add skb frag size accessorsEric Dumazet2011-10-191-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | To ease skb->truesize sanitization, its better to be able to localize all references to skb frags size. Define accessors : skb_frag_size() to fetch frag size, and skb_frag_size_{set|add|sub}() to manipulate it. Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. * net/inet_lro: remove setting skb->ip_summed when not LRO-ableEli Cohen2008-06-281-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | When an SKB cannot be chained to a session, the current code attempts to "restore" its ip_summed field from lro_mgr->ip_summed. However, lro_mgr->ip_summed does not hold the original value; in fact, we'd better not touch skb->ip_summed since it is not modified by the code in the path leading to a failure to chain it. Also use a cleaer comment to the describe the ip_summed field of struct net_lro_mgr. * [LRO] Fix lro_mgr->features checksBrice Goglin2008-01-091-8/+8
| | | | | | | | | | lro_mgr->features contains a bitmask of LRO_F_* values which are defined as power of two, not as bit indexes. They must be checked with x&LRO_F_FOO, not with test_bit(LRO_F_FOO,&x). Signed-off-by: Brice Goglin <Brice.Goglin@inria.fr> Acked-by: Andrew Gallatin <gallatin@myri.com> Signed-off-by: David S. * [LRO]: fix lro_gen_skb() alignmentAndrew Gallatin2007-12-051-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a field to the lro_mgr struct so that drivers can specify how much padding is required to align layer 3 headers when a packet is copied into a freshly allocated skb by inet_lro.c:lro_gen_skb(). Without padding, skbs generated by LRO will cause alignment warnings on architectures which require strict alignment (seen on sparc64). Myri10GE is updated to use this field. * fix endianness bug in inet_lroAl Viro2007-10-141-1/+1

* [NET]: sparse warning fixesStephen Hemminger2007-10-111-1/+1

* [NET]: Generic Large Receive Offload for TCP trafficJan-Bernd Themann2007-10-111-0/+600
This patch provides generic Large Receive Offload (LRO) functionality for IPv4/TCP traffic. LRO combines received tcp packets to a single larger tcp packet and passes them then to the network stack in order to increase performance (throughput). The interface supports two modes: Drivers can either pass SKBs or fragment lists to the LRO engine. Signed-off-by: Jan-Bernd Themann <themann@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
