* net/ncsi: add NCSI Intel OEM command to keep PHY upIvan Mikhaylov2021-07-081-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | This allows to keep PHY link up and prevents any channel resets during the host load. It is KEEP_PHY_LINK_UP option(Veto bit) in i210 datasheet which block PHY reset and power state changes. Signed-off-by: Ivan Mikhaylov <i.mikhaylov@yadro.com> Signed-off-by: David S. * treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help'Masahiro Yamada2020-06-131-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit 84af7a6194e4 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over '---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances. This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines, I also fixed the indentation. There are a variety of indentation styles found. a) 4 spaces + '---help---' b) 7 spaces + '---help---' c) 8 spaces + '---help---' d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---' e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation) f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---' g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---' In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the following commend: $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>
* treewide: Add SPDX license identifier - Makefile/KconfigThomas Gleixner2019-05-211-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add SPDX license identifiers to all Make/Kconfig files which: - Have no license information of any form These files fall under the project license, GPL v2 only. The resulting SPDX license identifier is: GPL-2.0-only Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* net/ncsi: Add NCSI Broadcom OEM commandVijay Khemka2018-10-181-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds OEM Broadcom commands and response handling. It also defines OEM Get MAC Address handler to get and configure the device. ncsi_oem_gma_handler_bcm: This handler send NCSI broadcom command for getting mac address. ncsi_rsp_handler_oem_bcm: This handles response received for all broadcom OEM commands. ncsi_rsp_handler_oem_bcm_gma: This handles get mac address response and set it to device. NCSI spec (DSP0222) defines several objects: package, channel, mode, filter, version and statistics etc. This introduces the data structs to represent those objects and implement functions to manage them. Also, this introduces CONFIG_NET_NCSI for the newly implemented NCSI stack. * The user (e.g. netdev driver) dereference NCSI device by "struct ncsi_dev", which is embedded to "struct ncsi_dev_priv". The later one is used by NCSI stack internally. * Every NCSI device can have multiple packages simultaneously, up to 8 packages. It's represented by "struct ncsi_package" and identified by 3-bits ID. * Every NCSI package can have multiple channels, up to 32. It's represented by "struct ncsi_channel" and identified by 5-bits ID. * Every NCSI channel has version, statistics, various modes and filters. They are represented by "struct ncsi_channel_version", "struct ncsi_channel_stats", "struct ncsi_channel_mode" and "struct ncsi_channel_filter" separately. * Apart from AEN (Asynchronous Event Notification), the NCSI stack works in terms of command and response. This introduces "struct ncsi_req" to represent a complete NCSI transaction made of NCSI request and response. link: https://www.dmtf.org/sites/default/files/standards/documents/DSP0222_1.1.0.pdf Signed-off-by: Gavin Shan <gwshan@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Acked-by: Joel Stanley <joel@jms.id.au> Signed-off-by: David S.
