* mm/gup: Introduce get_user_pages_remote()Dave Hansen2016-02-161-1/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | For protection keys, we need to understand whether protections should be enforced in software or not. In general, we enforce protections when working on our own task, but not when on others. We call these "current" and "remote" operations. This patch introduces a new get_user_pages() variant: get_user_pages_remote() Which is a replacement for when get_user_pages() is called on non-current tsk/mm. We also introduce a new gup flag: FOLL_REMOTE which can be used for the "__" gup variants to get this new behavior. The uprobes is_trap_at_addr() location holds mmap_sem and calls get_user_pages(current->mm) on an instruction address. This makes it a pretty unique gup caller. Being an instruction access and also really originating from the kernel (vs. the app), I opted to consider this a 'remote' access where protection keys will not be enforced. Without protection keys, this patch should not change any behavior. * LSM: Switch to lists of hooksCasey Schaufler2015-05-121-11/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of using a vector of security operations with explicit, special case stacking of the capability and yama hooks use lists of hooks with capability and yama hooks included as appropriate. The security_operations structure is no longer required. Instead, there is a union of the function pointers that allows all the hooks lists to use a common mechanism for list management while retaining typing. Each module supplies an array describing the hooks it provides instead of a sparsely populated security_operations structure. The description includes the element that gets put on the hook list, avoiding the issues surrounding individual element allocation. The method for registering security modules is changed to reflect the information available. The method for removing a module, currently only used by SELinux, has also changed. It should be generic now, however if there are potential race conditions based on ordering of hook removal that needs to be addressed by the calling module. The security hooks are called from the lists and the first failure is returned. * LSM: Add security module hook list headsCasey Schaufler2015-05-121-29/+29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a list header for each security hook. They aren't used until later in the patch series. They are grouped together in a structure so that there doesn't need to be an external address for each. Macro-ize the initialization of the security_operations for each security module in anticipation of changing out the security_operations structure. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | SRCU is not necessary to be compiled by default in all cases. For tinification efforts not compiling SRCU unless necessary is desirable. | * TOMOYO: Fix mount flags checking order.Tetsuo Handa2012-03-011-18/+20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Userspace can pass in arbitrary combinations of MS_* flags to mount(). If both MS_BIND and one of MS_SHARED/MS_PRIVATE/MS_SLAVE/MS_UNBINDABLE are passed, device name which should be checked for MS_BIND was not checked because MS_SHARED/MS_PRIVATE/MS_SLAVE/MS_UNBINDABLE had higher priority than MS_BIND. If both one of MS_BIND/MS_MOVE and MS_REMOUNT are passed, device name which should not be checked for MS_REMOUNT was checked because MS_BIND/MS_MOVE had higher priority than MS_REMOUNT. Fix these bugs by changing priority to MS_REMOUNT -> MS_BIND -> MS_SHARED/MS_PRIVATE/MS_SLAVE/MS_UNBINDABLE -> MS_MOVE as with do_mount() does. Also, unconditionally return -EINVAL if more than one of MS_SHARED/MS_PRIVATE/MS_SLAVE/MS_UNBINDABLE is passed so that TOMOYO will not generate inaccurate audit logs, for commit 7a2e8a8f "VFS: Sanity check mount flags passed to change_mnt_propagation()" clarified that these flags must be exclusively passed. * TOMOYO: Accept \000 as a valid character.Tetsuo Handa2012-01-181-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | TOMOYO 2.5 in Linux 3.2 and later handles Unix domain socket's address. Thus, tomoyo_correct_word2() needs to accept \000 as a valid character, or TOMOYO 2.5 cannot handle Unix domain's abstract socket address. |/ / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | tomoyo/realpath.c needs exactly one include - that of common.h. It pulls everything the thing needs, without doing ridiculous garbage such as trying to include ../../fs/internal.h. If that alone doesn't scream "layering violation", I don't know what does; and these days it's all for nothing, since it fortunately does not use any symbols defined in there...
