* ALSA: cs46xx: Fix missing snd_card_free() call at probe errorTakashi Iwai2022-07-051-9/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The previous cleanup with devres may lead to the incorrect release orders at the probe error handling due to the devres's nature. Until we register the card, snd_card_free() has to be called at first for releasing the stuff properly when the driver tries to manage and release the stuff via card->private_free(). This patch fixes it by calling snd_card_free() manually on the error from the probe callback. Fixes: 5bff69b3645d ("ALSA: cs46xx: Allocate resources with device-managed APIs") Cc: <stable@vger.kernel.org> Reported-and-tested-by: Jan Engelhardt <jengelh@inai.de> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/p2p1s96o-746-74p4-s95-61qo1p7782pn@vanv.qr Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220705152336.350-1-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: pci: cs46xx: Fix set up buffer type properlyTakashi Iwai2021-08-091-22/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CS46xx driver switches the buffer depending on the number of periods, and in some cases it switches to the own buffer without updating the buffer type properly. This may cause a problem with the mmap on exotic architectures that require the own mmap call for the coherent DMA buffer. This patch addresses the potential breakage by replacing the buffer setup with the proper macro. It also simplifies the source code, too. * ALSA: cs46xx: Allocate resources with device-managed APIsTakashi Iwai2021-07-193-128/+38
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts the resource management in PCI cs46xx driver with devres as a clean up. Each manual resource management is converted with the corresponding devres helper, and the card object release is managed now via card->private_free instead of a lowlevel snd_device. This should give no user-visible functional changes. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20210715075941.23332-31-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>

| | | | | | | | | | | PCI CS46xx driver code contains a few assignments in if condition, which is a bad coding style that may confuse readers and occasionally lead to bugs. This patch is merely for coding-style fixes, no functional changes. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20210608140540.17885-38-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
