* ASoC: Intel: Move soc_intel_is_foo() helpers to a generic headerHans de Goede2021-10-191-48/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The soc_intel_is_foo() helpers from sound/soc/intel/common/soc-intel-quirks.h are useful outside of the sound subsystem too. Move these to include/linux/platform_data/x86/soc.h, so that other code can use them too. * ASoC: Intel: Add DMI quirk table to soc_intel_is_byt_cr()Hans de Goede2021-02-081-0/+25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some Bay Trail systems: 1. Use a non CR version of the Bay Trail SoC 2. Contain at least 6 interrupt resources so that the platform_get_resource(pdev, IORESOURCE_IRQ, 5) check to workaround non CR systems which list their IPC IRQ at index 0 despite being non CR does not work 3. Despite 1. and 2. still have their IPC IRQ at index 0 rather then 5 Add a DMI quirk table to check for the few known models with this issue, so that the right IPC IRQ index is used on these systems. Here we go, some highlights below: ASoC: - Quite a lot of cleanup / refactoring of ASoC core and APIs; most of them are systematic, but also including cleanups and modernization - A bulk of updates for some ASoC platforms, Freescale, sunxi and Intel SST/SOF - Initial support for Sound Open Firmware on i.MX8 - Removal of deprecated w90x900 and nuc900 drivers - New support for Cirrus Logic CS47L15 and CS47L92, Freescale i.MX 7ULP and 8MQ, Meson G12A and NXP UDA1334 USB-audio: - More validations of descriptor units for hardening against bugs reported by fuzzers - PCM device assignment workaround for a past call-order change - Scarlett Gen2 mixer interface, a few more more quirks HD-audio: - Support for audio component with AMD/ATI and Nvidia HDMI codecs - Clean up HD-audio core and remove indirect access ops for Intel SOF - DMIC detection at probe; it would make systems automatically falling back to SST/SOF driver on devices that need DMIC handling. * ASoC: Intel: use common helpers to detect CPUsPierre-Louis Bossart2019-05-301-0/+115
We have duplicated code in multiple locations (atom, machine drivers, SOF) to detect Baytrail, Cherrytrail and other SOCs. This is not very elegant, and introduces dependencies on CONFIG_X86 that prevent COMPILE_TEST from working. Add common helpers to provide same functionality in a cleaner way. This will also help support the DMI-based quirks being introduced to handle SOF/SST autodetection.
