* ASoC: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()Uwe Kleine-König2024-09-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers. Convert all drivers below sound/soc to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer. * ASoC: rockchip: rockchip_rt5645: Map missing jack kcontrolsAlper Nebi Yasak2023-08-071-5/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | This driver does not properly map jack pins to kcontrols that PulseAudio and PipeWire need to handle jack detection events. The RT5645 codec used here supports detecting Headphone and Headset Mic connections. Expose both to userspace as kcontrols. * ASoC: rockchip: rockchip_rt5645: Convert to platform remove callback ↵Uwe Kleine-König2023-03-201-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | returning void The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. * ASoC: soc-card: Create jack kcontrol without pinsAkihiko Odaki2022-04-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | snd_soc_card_jack_new() allowed to create jack kcontrol without pins, but did not create kcontrols. The jack would not have kcontrols if pins were not going to be added. This renames the old snd_soc_card_jack_new() to snd_soc_card_jack_new_pins() for use when pins are provided or will be added later. The new snd_soc_card_jack_new() appropriately creates a jack for use without pins and adds a kcontrol. * ASoC: rockchip: rockchip_rt5645: consider CPU-Platform possibilityKuninori Morimoto2019-06-281-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 27a37973a6f1 ("ASoC: rockchip: rockchip_rt5645: don't select unnecessary Platform") Current ALSA SoC avoid to add duplicate component to rtd, and this driver was selecting CPU component as Platform component. Thus, above patch removed Platform settings from this driver, because it assumed these are same component. But, some CPU driver is using generic DMAEngine, in such case, both CPU component and Platform component will have same of_node/name. In other words, there are some components which are different but have same of_node/name. In such case, Card driver definitely need to select Platform even though it is same as CPU. It is depends on CPU driver, but is difficult to know it from Card driver. This patch reverts above patch.
