While browsing/grepping in the sound core, I found that
snd_dmaengine_set_config_from_dai_data() did not exist, in favor of
snd_dmaengine_pcm_set_config_from_dai_data(). Fix the typo.

While transitioning ASoC code for iov_iter usages, I kept the argument
name as "buf" as the original code. But, iov_iter is an iterator, and
using the name "buf" may be misleading: the crucial difference is that
iov_iter can be proceeded after the operation, hence it can't be
passed twice, while a simple "buffer" sounds as if reusable.
To make the usage clearer, rename the argument from "buf" to "iter".
There is no functional changes, just names.

Passing the iov_iter to the process callback is rather buggy, as the
iterator has been already processed for playback. Similarly, it makes
the copy for capture buggy after the process callback reading the
iterator out. Moreover, all existing process callbacks don't refer to
the passed iterator at all. So, it's better to drop the argument from
the process callback.

Along with the conversion to PCM copy ops, use the iov_iter for the
pointer to be passed to the dmaengine process callback, too. It
avoids the direct reference of iter_iov_addr(), and it can potentially
help for the drivers to access memory properly (although both atmel
and stm drivers don't use the given buffer address at all for now).

This patch converts the ASoC dmaenging driver code to use the new
unified PCM copy callback. It's a straightforward conversion from
*_user() to *_iter() variants.
The process callback is still using the direct pointer as of now, but
it'll be converted in the next patch.
Note that copy_from/to_iter() returns the copied bytes, hence the
error condition is adjusted accordingly.

Current rtd has both dai_link pointer (A) and num_cpus/codecs (B).
(A) rtd->dai_link = dai_link;
(B) rtd->num_cpus = dai_link->num_cpus;
(B) rtd->num_codecs = dai_link->num_codecs;
But, we can get num_cpus/codecs (B) via dai_link (A).
This means we don't need to keep num_cpus/codecs on rtd.
This patch removes these.

snd_dmaengine_pcm_register() can be passed a NULL pointer for the config
which means that the we have to test for pcm->config being non NULL
before accessing it. Make the code more straight forward by providing a
default config when none is passed. With this pcm->config is never NULL
and we can skip all the if (pcm->config) tests.

if (pmc->config && !pcm->config->prepare_slave_config)
<do nothing>
to:
if (pmc->config && !pcm->config->prepare_slave_config)
snd_dmaengine_pcm_prepare_slave_config()
This breaks the drivers that do not need a call to
dmaengine_slave_config(). Drivers that still need to call
snd_dmaengine_pcm_prepare_slave_config(), but have a NULL
pcm->config->prepare_slave_config should use
snd_dmaengine_pcm_prepare_slave_config() as their prepare_slave_config

In dmaengine_pcm_set_runtime_hwparams() period_bytes_min is hardcoded to
256. For some applications that may be too big. This patch changes that
to calculate the value based on dma_data->maxburst. The correct value
would be maxburst multiplied by the address width of the hardware FIFO.
Unfortunately the address width is dynamically calculated based on the
stream parameters and is not known at open time, so the worst case
is chosen here which is 8 bytes, the maximum that is supported by
dmaengine drivers.
Not all drivers may set a maxburst value, so we fall back to the
previously used hardcoded value of 256 bytes.

The ASoC devm_ functions that register a component
(devm_snd_soc_register_component and devm_snd_dmaengine_pcm_register) will
clean their component by running snd_soc_unregister_component.
snd_soc_unregister_component will then remove all the components for the
device that was used to register the component in the first place.
However, some drivers register several components (such as a DAI and a
dmaengine PCM) on the same device, and if the dmaengine PCM is registered
first, then the DAI will be cleaned up first and
snd_dmaengine_pcm_unregister will be called next.
snd_dmaengine_pcm_unregister will then lookup the dmaengine PCM component
on the device, and if there's one unregister that component and release its
dmaengine channels. That doesn't happen in practice though since the first
call to snd_soc_unregister_component removed all the components, so we
never get the chance to release the dmaengine channels.
In order to fix this, instead of removing all the components for a given
device, we can simply remove the component that was registered in the first
place. We should have the same number of component registration than we
have components, so it should work just fine.

snd_pcm_lib_preallocate_pages() and co always succeed, so the error
check is simply redundant. Drop it.

Pull DMAengine updates from Vinod Koul:
"This round brings couple of framework changes, a new driver and usual
driver updates:
- new managed helper for dmaengine framework registration
- split dmaengine pause capability to pause and resume and allow
drivers to report that individually
- update dma_request_chan_by_mask() to handle deferred probing
- move imx-sdma to use virt-dma
- new driver for Actions Semi Owl family S900 controller
- minor updates to intel, renesas, mv_xor, pl330 etc"

'cmd_pause' DMA channel capability means that respective DMA engine
supports both pausing and resuming given DMA channel. However, in some
cases it is important to know if DMA channel can be paused without the
need to resume it. This is a typical requirement for proper residue
reading on transfer timeout in UART drivers. There are also some DMA
engines with limited hardware, which doesn't really support resuming.
Reporting pause and resume capabilities separately allows UART drivers to
properly check for the really required capabilities and operate in DMA
mode also in systems with limited DMA hardware. On the other hand drivers,
which rely on full channel suspend/resume support, should now check for
both 'pause' and 'resume' features.
Existing clients of dma_get_slave_caps() have been checked and the only
driver which rely on proper channel resuming is soc-generic-dmaengine-pcm
driver, which has been updated to check the newly added capability.
Existing 'cmd_pause' now only indicates that DMA engine support pausing
given DMA channel.

The conversion from PCM format type to bits needs an explicit cast,
and it'll be uglier. Since we have a standard macro for that, let's
use it instead.
This patch fixes the sparse warning:
sound/soc/soc-generic-dmaengine-pcm.c:200:63: warning: restricted snd_pcm_format_t degrades to integer

It seems that __user prefix was forgotten to be added to
dmaengine_copy_user callback while we refactored the user-copy PCM
core.
This patch adds the missing prefix, remove the superfluous cast, and
add the needed cast (__force is needed for downgrading from user
pointer to kernel pointer), too.
Spotted by a sparse warning like:
sound/soc/soc-generic-dmaengine-pcm.c:397:27: warning: incorrect type in initializer (incompatible argument 4 (different address spaces))

This reverts commit f91b1e73ccde71d4bc69ae10d475196df38844ab.
As explained by Lars-Peter Clausen:
"This creates a resource leak. dmaengine_pcm_request_chan_of() requests
bothtransmit and receive channels. It might return with an error if one
of them fails, but the other one succeeded. In this case we need to call
dmaengine_pcm_release_chan() to free the requested channel"
So revert the commit.

Currently the following sparse warnings are observed:
sound/soc/soc-generic-dmaengine-pcm.c:185:34: warning: restricted snd_pcm_format_t degrades to integer
sound/soc/soc-generic-dmaengine-pcm.c:186:66: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different base types)
sound/soc/soc-generic-dmaengine-pcm.c:186:66: expected restricted snd_pcm_format_t [usertype] format
sound/soc/soc-generic-dmaengine-pcm.c:186:66: got int [signed] [assigned] i
Fix it by changing the loop variable to be of 'snd_pcm_format_t'.
Also introduce a SNDRV_PCM_FORMAT_FIRST label, which corresponds to the
first member (index 0) of the snd_pcm_format_t formats.

When dmaengine_pcm_request_chan_of() fails it should release
the previously acquired resources, which in this case is to
call kfree(pcm), so jump to the correct point in the error
path.
