* WPACKET: don't write DER length when we don't want toRichard Levitte2020-05-041-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | With endfirst writing, it could be that we want to abandon any zero length sub-packet. That's what WPACKET_FLAGS_ABANDON_ON_ZERO_LENGTH was supposed to make happen, but the DER length writing code didn't look at that flag. Now it does. * VMS: turn on name mangling for all our programsRichard Levitte2018-09-141-11/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the change to have separate object files by intent, VMS name mangling gets done differently. While we previously had that for libraries only, we must now turn that on generally for our programs, because some of them depend in internal libraries where mangled names are all that there is. Dynamic modules are still built with non-mangled names, which is good enough to show that it's possible to build with our public libraries using our public headers. * Update the test framework so that the need for test_main is removed. EverythingPauli2017-07-261-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | that needed test_main now works using the same infrastructure as tests that used register_tests. This meant: * renaming register_tests to setup_tests and giving it a success/failure return. * renaming the init_test function to setup_test_framework. * renaming the finish_test function to pulldown_test_framework. * adding a user provided global_init function that runs before the test frame work is initialised. It returns a failure indication that stops the stest. * adding helper functions that permit tests to access their command line args. * spliting the BIO initialisation and finalisation out from the test setup and teardown. * hiding some of the now test internal functions. * fix the comments in testutil.h Reviewed-by: Richard Levitte <levitte@openssl.org> (Merged from https://github.com/openssl/openssl/pull/3953)
* Address some -Wold-style-declaration warningsBenjamin Kaduk2017-05-011-9/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | gcc's -Wextra pulls in -Wold-style-declaration, which triggers when a declaration has a storage-class specifier as a non-initial qualifier. The ISO C formal grammar requires the storage-class to be the first component of the declaration, if present. Seeint as the register storage-class specifier does not really have any effect anymore with modern compilers, remove it entirely while we're here, instead of fixing up the order. Interestingly, the gcc devteam warnings do not pull in -Wextra, though the clang ones do. * VMS: Fix internals test programsRichard Levitte2017-04-181-0/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | The internals test programs access header files that aren't guarded by the public __DECC_INCLUDE_PROLOGUE.H and __DECC_INCLUDE_EPILOGUE.H files, and therefore have no idea what the naming convention is. Therefore, we need to specify that explicitely in the internals test programs, since they aren't built with the same naming convention as the library they belong with. * Add main() test methods to reduce test boilerplate.Emilia Kasper2016-11-091-17/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Simple tests only need to implement register_tests(). Tests that need a custom main() should implement test_main(). This will be wrapped in a main() that performs common setup/teardown (currently crypto-mdebug). Note that for normal development, enable-asan is usually sufficient for detecting leaks, and more versatile. enable-crypto-mdebug is stricter as it will also insist that all static variables be freed. This is useful for debugging library init/deinit; however, it also means that test_main() must free everything it allocates. * Add support for initialising WPACKETs from a static bufferMatt Caswell2016-11-091-0/+27
| | | | | | | | Normally WPACKETs will use a BUF_MEM which can grow as required. Sometimes though that may be overkill for what is needed - a static buffer may be sufficient. This adds that capability. Reviewed-by: Rich Salz <rsalz@openssl.org>
* Remove trailing whitespace from some files.David Benjamin2016-10-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The prevailing style seems to not have trailing whitespace, but a few lines do. This is mostly in the perlasm files, but a few C files got them after the reformat. This is the result of: find . -name '*.pl' | xargs sed -E -i '' -e 's/( |'$'\t'')*$//' find . -name '*.c' | xargs sed -E -i '' -e 's/( |'$'\t'')*$//' find . -name '*.h' | xargs sed -E -i '' -e 's/( |'$'\t'')*$//' Then bn_prime.h was excluded since this is a generated file. Note mkerr.pl has some changes in a heredoc for some help output, but other lines there lack trailing whitespace too. * Address WPACKET review commentsMatt Caswell2016-09-131-70/+20
| | | | | | | | | | | A few style tweaks here and there. The main change is that curr and packet_len are now offsets into the buffer to account for the fact that the pointers can change if the buffer grows. Also dropped support for the WPACKET_set_packet_len() function. I thought that was going to be needed but so far it hasn't been. It doesn't really work any more due to the offsets change.
